ANDES Sting Proof Bee Suit with Gloves & Fencing Veil, L(Fits 5'7"-5'11")

I’ve been using this bee suit while working around my hives, and overall I’m pretty impressed with it. The suit gives you good full-body coverage without feeling overly bulky, and the white material is lightweight enough that I can move around and work without feeling like I’m wearing a sleeping bag. One of the things I really like is the attached veil. It gives good visibility and provides plenty of room around the face, while the zipper/closure system makes it easy to get everything secured before heading into the hives. I also like that the suit has elastic around the wrists and ankles, which helps keep those little openings closed. That’s important when you’re dealing with bees—you don’t really want to give them a convenient front door. The suit also has several pockets, which are handy for carrying small tools or other items while you’re working. Overall For the price, I think this is a very useful bee suit for the backyard beekeeper or someone who only occasionally works their hives. It provides the coverage I want, doesn’t restrict movement too much, and the attached veil is a big convenience. It’s not the heaviest-duty suit I’ve ever seen, but for normal hive maintenance and inspections, it does a good job of providing an extra layer of protection between me and the bees. I’d definitely recommend it for someone looking for an affordable starter or backup bee suit.

We had some very aggressive ground bees and paper wasps take over this summer, driving off more beneficial species and going after everyone. The bee suit worked very well and saved us a call to pest control.

The suit is fantastic for the price, smooth running zippers, thick enough to keep stingers away. The problem is the sizing. It's actually hilarious. I ordered a medium as it states that size suits people up to 6'3". NOPE! That was riding so high up my....Anyway, make sure you size up a couple. I exchanged my medium for an XL. I'll see how that goes tomorrow. Please fix your description lol. But, thanks for making a quality suit. It did allow me to clear a wasp nest while they were swarming, and I didn't get stung. But felt like I was wearing a dagum g string lmao. Edit** The XL fits great! 5 stars. Wish it was 3 layers, but those are considerably more expensive. For the price, I don't think you can beat this suit. Definitely recommend it, and already shared the link.

I bought the XXL Bee Suit hoping for full coverage, and overall the quality is decent. The suit covers every inch from head to ankle and provides solid protection against bees. The goatskin gloves are thick and protective, the ventilated hood is comfortable with good visibility, and the material feels durable for backyard beekeeping. However, the fit is the biggest issue. Even in XXL, it feels tight around the shoulders and waist, and the elastic bands are a bit too strong, making it uncomfortable during longer use. I wish the sizing was more generous. Other than the fitting problem, it’s a good beekeeper suit for the price and does its main job well.

We had an underground nest of nasty yellowjackets. Suited up with the ANDES suit and was able to eliminate the whole nest with no stings at all. The gloves made it very easy to manipulate the duster, the screened hood made it easy to see (wear a baseball hat under to have it project out a little more), and the zippers worked and sealed perfectly. No worries at all using this suit!

Overall great for the price! Purchased after getting stung 17 times by a yellow jacket swarm that was discovered and accidentally disturbed by roofers. Elastic at the cuffs and ankles. Velcro flap covering the vulnerable upper parts of the zippers. Gloves do appear to be real leather. I do wish the material was thicker, and the sizing chart is WAY off. I am 5’4” and the large which is supposed to fit someone 6’9” (thought my dad could borrow it if needed) is all up in my business if you know what I’m saying. You will need a decent pair of boots to complete the ensemble. Overall: if you’re keeping this on hand for just in case, I think it’s great. I wore it tonight to treat a small resettlement in the flower bed but nothing came out while spraying so it didn’t really get tested, but for the price- I don’t think you can beat it.

This was AMAZING! Had a problem with yellow jackets. I wore this suit and never got stung!! I was definitely surrounded by the bees. Made with thick protective material. If you have to move a hive or work around bees I felt very safe in this suit.

I am pretty afraid of bees, but now that I am a homeowner and had them build in various places around my house several times I finally invested $30 into this suit and I am SO glad I did! This suit protects you amazingly from the bees. I never got stung, and I’ve treated the nest twice! I got size extra large - larger than I needed so that someone else could borrow it and I figured it was extra room and protection for me. The first time I used it, I watched the bees crawling all around the mask and I could hear them trying to sting the hood around my head and it was scary. Then I used it the second time knowing they couldn’t sting me and I had a lot more confidence and was able to just focus on getting the dust in their hive. If you are trying to rid your home of bees and are afraid of getting stung, this is an excellent investment! Some of the reviews say that you could get stung in the face if the net gets too close to you and I agree that wearing a baseball hat could help distance the surface of the net from your nose and chin while wearing, but I didn’t even do that on my second time wearing it and it was just fine. You just become conscious of how the hood is positioned And you make sure it is an inch or more away from your face. Excellent excellent product! I highly recommend it.

Suit is plenty big. I’m 5.3 medium build and I thought that I had read that the suit ran on the smaller side, so I ordered a large. Too big really but it doesn’t matter in the scheme of things. Better too big than too small. The material is on the thin side. Nice for summer.
