Have a 3 stall garage that needs to be kept around 40-50% humidity to keep lawn equipment, vehicles, tools, metal storage cabinets, etc. from rusting prematurely. That’s important in a humid garage. The Waykar Max 80 does the job with ease. It has quiet operation, efficient dehumidification, and is easy to set up and operate. You can use the built-in water collection bin that you dump as needed or the included hose for continuous water output. It’s a sharp looking unit with a very nice control panel. You just set the humidity level with the touch of a button and forget it until the water bin gets full if you opt not to use the drain hose. Very good build quality and a 2 year warranty if you register. And it’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommend for spaces up to 5000 square feet. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Great product backed by an absolutely incredible support team!! This dehumidifier is very easy to use and works great in my 2000 square foot basement. It removes moisture from the air very efficiently and brings the humidity down to the desires percentage very quickly. It is also very quiet compared to other products that I have used in the last. I was very happy with this dehumidifier. It worked well the first ten months, keeping humidity under control and running reliably. Around the tenth month, it began making a loud humming sound and I noticed ice forming. I reached out to customer service, and they were responsive to my issues.

In 2025, I was looking for a dehumidifier that was big enough to handle an enclosed basement to prevent mold as well as to assist in making the upstairs living area more comfortable during high humid summer days. I found the answer in Waykar 150 Pints 2025 Energy Star Dehumidifier This dehumidifier was just the right size for the job we had in mind. The unit comes with built in wheels, making the unit easily mobile, a blessing for those of us who are not able to do heavy lifting. The instruction was easy to follow, it took less than 10 minutes to unbox and set up to start working. In about 10 minutes, there was a trickle of water flowing out. Overnight, my house went from 80% humidity to 50%, including upstairs where central air was struggling to manage humidity. A huge plus, this dehumidifier has two options for condensation collection. I used a hose (included) to directly empty into a drainage built into the basement floor. It was exactly what we needed. The above review is reflective of last year. Beginning this summer, 2026, the unit did not work properly, did not condensate to remove the moisture. I attempted to troubleshoot by following instructions in the manual. I was not successful. I emailed Waykar customer support, in hopes someone would respond. I was pleasantly surprised. A representative, Penny, responded very next day with kind words of welcoming inquiry to help resolve my concerns. She responded by emailing clear instructions to help me troubleshoot. We exchanged emails several times and each time, Penny's response was always customer service focused, something we don't see often these days. Ultimately, we were not able to find a solution to fix the problem and Waykar offered to replace the unit. They truly live up to their "Reliabe Assurance", that "If you have any questions or issues, please contact us anytime by phone, email or official online chat—we are always here to provide exceptional service and peace of mind with your purchase." I highly recommend Waykar for it's functionality and now, more importantly, for their customer support.

I purchased a Waykar 80 pint dehumidifier over one year ago and it was very easy to set up and operate. It has been running efficiently and reliably ever since. More recently I purchased a Waykar 120 pint dehumidifier and, like my first purchase, it has been running quietly and efficiently. I use it in my basement area and it keeps the entire area quite comfortable. I am very pleased with both units!

Purchased this 150 pint dehumidifier last spring (2025) for my 2k square ft. living space to bring the humidity down (in the basement). It’s fairly well sized, didn’t leak, wasn’t heavy, and had a quality build and appearance. The unit performed flawlessly for the year, however, it did stop performing this year (2026) all of a sudden. (My guess would be a slow refridgerant leak from the factory, as I never moved the unit around, and never dropped, bumped, or touched the unit after initial setup). That said, I contacted the company and got a rather quick response with several options for replacement. This is where the value for the unit comes into play. The company stands by their products and works to resolve issues without much hassle, which I appreciate. The dehumidifier is great dehumidifier that runs R32 refrigerant (which basically makes it more difficult to refill refrigerant levels with most at home refill kits). So, unless you have the correct certifications and/or experience, it would be best to work with the company to resolve the issue. Had it not been for the customer service, I would have been disappointed to have a unit fail this soon. However, my confidence in Waykar’s customer service has toned down my dismay, as they are quick to fairly resolve the issue(s) without pulling teeth. If anything changes in the future, I’ll be sure to update this review. In the meantime, I feel comfortable recommending this dehumidifier (as per their customer service).

This is my second Waykar dehumidifier. I had some minor problems with the first one and contacted customer support. They asked for more information and once I sent it, they gave me 2 replacement options, each was acceptable to me. Customer service was great. This current unit works well. It is currently removing about 2 gallons of water a day (we live in the South where it’s very humid). It has dropped the humidity in our home to where we want it. It’s compact and on low fan, it is very quiet, high speed is louder but not too loud for us. There are multiple drain options, I chose to use a mini split ac condensate pump because of my drain locations, emptying it multiple times a day just doesn’t work for us. Would definitely consider Waykar again.

Great unit! Very quiet and works well in my 1500 sf finished basement. Easy to hook up with the self discharging drain line. Recently had a small issue but their customer service helped me work through it and were able to rectify the problem. Would definitely buy again in the future.

J’ai acheté le déshumidificateur Waykar 80 «pints» modèle YDZ-80. Il a été commandé le 30 septembre et livré le 2 octobre. Bravo Amazon!!!!!. J’ai attendu au 3 octobre pour le mettre en marche pour m’assurer que le fluide caloporteur soit bien à sa place. Ce déshumidificateur remplace un vieux Sunbeam. Déjà en le déballant je m’aperçois que bien qu’il soit de la même taille, ce Waykar est au moins 30% moins lourd. Bravo Waykar!!!. Depuis qu’il a été mis en marche, l’appareil a réussi à abaisser le taux d’humidité de la maison (3500) pi2 de 66% à 49% en 3 jours et le maintenir entre 45% et 50% avec un minimum d’énergie. Quelle différence fait cet appareil «EnergyStar». Photo 1. Le panneau de contrôle rend l’appareil très simple à utiliser (photo 2). On peut même le faire fonctionner sur un horaire programmé pour être utilisé la nuit quand le coût de l’électricité est plus faible. Combiné avec la fonction arrêt-départ automatique quand le niveau d’humidité requis est atteint, on utilise une énergie minimale pour le maintien d’un taux d’humidité confortable. L’option d’un drainage continu de l’eau est aussi très «cool» (photo 3-4). Plus besoin de surveiller le niveau d’eau accumulé dans le bac et de le vider régulièrement De plus, le filtre est très accessible pour le nettoyage (photo 5). Donc, jusqu’à maintenant je suis très satisfait du rendement de l’appareil.
