I had just recovered deck chairs with heavy white canvas, a project I never want to undertake again...they did look beautiful on the deck when I finished the job though. Fast forward two days, we had a torrential rain followed by bright hot sunshine, not unusual for where we live. Next day I was straightening up from the storm and looked at the deck chairs. They were covered (every inch) with grey/black mold/mildew. I nearly fell over. Tried to clean them up with bleach solution and sunshine - wasted effort. I couldn't believe it. All that work down the drain. Thought my only choice was to take everything apart and paint the canvas with some kind mildew preventer paint. Took the chairs inside and procrastinated for weeks about painting them. Then a MIRACLE!!!!!! I just happened to look on Amazon and see if there was anything available that would remove the stains and keep my sanity. Read the reviews for STAR BRITE THE OUTDOOR COLLECTION MILDEW STAIN REMOVER and thought I'd give it a try, what could it hurt, the chairs were ruined anyway. Following the directions I sprayed the first chair. Saw some results, rinsed and resprayed and scrubbed the chair and let it sit for a few minutes. Came back to check on the progress - I NEARLY FELL OVER - every speck of mildew stain was gone, and the canvas was unbelievably white. I was in total disbelief that this product worked so well. Did the other chairs and had the same absolutely beautiful results. I do want to emphasize the importance of following the directions to rinse the product off thoroughly. It did have a bleachy smell to it, but not bad. Don't know if the chemicals in the product would affect the durability of the canvas fabric any more than being in the sun daily, so rinsed and rinsed some more. I want to thank everyone who left those positive reviews of Star Brite Mildew Stain Remover, you were spot on (pardon the pun). Check out the after photo, I didn't take a photo of the chairs before, I'm sure you can imagine what the chairs looked like with every inch covered with grey/black mildew - but here is the after result. BEAUTIFUL!!!

This stuff does work amazing. I even used it without gloves on my sensitive hands when scrubbing with the hand brush (which you barely need to do) and was “ok”. Needed moisturizer after though. Simply spray on and give it a slight brush/scrub down just to work it in the crevices and then rinse off. Sooo simple. Took no time to do my set. The smell is very powerful like bleach, maybe slightly less. I found I just jumped in the pool every few minutes and it cleared the smell for me. (My family chose to move inside and they said it was too much). Although this works amazing it is a bit costly. I realized I missed one cushion this am and decided to try big box store “Walter” ;) store brand bathroom cleaner with bleach and lo and behold it did exactly the same thing for only $2. So this is amazing, but…going to save myself some money. TIP - to save your hand use a continuous sprayer if doing a large space. (Like a weed sprayer).

Made my moldy patio umbrella look NEW 🥰. Works in seconds. I sprayed it down in my sink and then threw in the washing machine to remove the product. You could probably spray outside and rinse with the hose, but I was in a hurry and it was very windy out. Also I would probably take the fabric off the frame anyway. I doubt this is good for metal, probably corrosive. Smells like bleach, but didn’t take the color out of my pink umbrella. I was going to replace the fabric if this didn’t work, but I suggest doing a spot test on anything you don’t want to chance ruining…

This sprayer did remove most of the mold stain i had on my cushions. Although I did two treatments, not all mold was gone. The smell is bleach-like. I think it did fade the color of the cushions some, but not enough to bother me as long as it was uniform. The sprayer works well. I just sprayed on, left for it on for about 15 minutes, then came back and sprayed of with water hose. First four pics are before the two treatments, last one is the result. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. It'll give the cushions a few extra seasons before replacement!

I was skeptical at first that this product would be effective at getting rid of the constant mold and mildew that grows on my outdoor furniture here in Florida. However I tried it on the chair that looked the worst and found it does what it says it will do. My chair looks like new! I did need to lightly scrub a bit on some of the tougher spots. Now I am excited to clean the rest of the furniture and hope that with more frequent cleaning I can just spray and hose. Great product!

I live in south Florida so I knew it would be good when I saw the product is from a company in my area. I sprayed a vinyl outdoor chair, let it sit for 10-15 mins, and then rinsed with the hose. No effort and amazing results. I also sprayed a light colored outdoor couch cushion and that turned out pretty well also. The downsides are strong smell, which the company warns about, so must be done outside so you can get away from the fumes quickly. Also, the product only works on the area you've sprayed (duh) but it was evident when I missed a spot because it works so well.
