Safety First
Being seen is half the story. They're also very good pedals.

A highly recommended upgrade for any bike
I run flats on all my bikes, whether that's on my BMX bike, cross country mountain bike, downhill bike, or my eBike; and I find that with proper pins they stick to your feet and they're the best kind of pedals for the way I ride. I also ride at night occasionally, and thanks to developments in LED and battery tech over the last ten or so years, I've been able to get some pretty good bright lighting for my bikes, with a huge powerful beam ahead of me along with a fairly bright rear red light (albeit a small one). Despite this a couple of problems remain as it is still not as easy to see me in the dark as I'd like, and on truly dark trails or where there are no streetlights, the ground nearest my bike is in near total darkness; these pedals fix those problems.Design:Although some photos show bars, these pedals have replaceable pins that dig into my Vans just as well as any of my other pedals. They have a large surface area, and they are extremely stable when standing on them, and they're easy to remount and get your shoe where you want it if you throw off a foot. Aesthetically speaking they are good looking pedals; I mean at first glance you wouldn't even notice the lightbars inside them, which is something I like quite a bit as they're low key. The way the lightbars go into the pedals is a great design too. The pedals themselves are independent of the light packs, and they just slide in and stick in with a strong magnet. At first I was worried that they might work loose, but that's never happened, and they seem to hold on quite well.Use and Battery Life:They last as long as advertised, or within a pretty close window of it. It is easy to pull them out when you want, yet they stay in the pedals without risk of popping out. Lights aside, as flat pedals they work great, they have plenty of surface area and pins that bite pretty well, and it is a nice perk that they're replaceable. The lighting they cast is crazy bright, and way more than I would have thought. The white light does a great job of lighting up a little bit ahead of you, but mostly right where you're at, which is perfect when paired with a standard bike light. The rear red lights work extremely well for night visibility from the rear, and the fact that they're constantly moving up and down helps a lot.Pros: - Lights aside, these are great pedals if you run flats. - Good battery life and multiple modes. - They really light up the area right near you, and you can point the light by rotating your feet. - The mode for the front light can be different from the rear. For example, you can have the red strobe while the white is solid.Cons: - The lights can be distracting as a rider because of the constant movement. - They don't really light up ahead of you that far.Overall, these are fantastic pedals. The lights make you super visible at night whether you've got them on solid or strobe. They grip my feet well, and while I wouldn't use these as my only light source, they are absolutely amazing at providing extra lighting where I want it most when paired with a standard bike like, and make me much more visible at night. The only real con is that they can be distracting at times, otherwise if you can stomach the price, these are flats I'd recommend to anyone hands down.

GAME CHANGING bike pedals - seriously
QUICK LOOK: I'm a pretty avid cyclist. No I'm not riding centuries or blasting 50 miles on the weekend...but I put in about 80+ miles per week as I cycle in the county park near my house and to the foothills as well. During the non-summer months I'm typically finding myself hitting right up against the wall of "dusk" riding. And I've been looking at different solutions for visibility as well as SAFETY while riding during these hours. The pedals tackle BOTH of those topics brilliantly (pun intended - they are BRIGHT).So first things first. I was expecting these to be a "tech" product first and a "cycling" product second. And by that I mean they'd work great at first but then basically the tech part would fail quickly and I'd be left with some cool looking pedals. You do NOT have to worry about that at all with these pedals. They are VERY soundly constructed. The metal framing is TOP notch and quality built. I was immediately put at ease upon upon the box and touching them...and then once (VERY EASILY) mounted on my Specialized Crosstrail they fit PERFECTLY in place and felt great under my shoes. The pedal pegs grip very well and for a guy like me with some big ole' feet, they were an upgrade from my former platform pedals.Next up...the tech. It's dang cool. The lights on the pedals offer various lighting modes ranging from consistently on to slow pulsing all the way up to strobe levels. When the pedals are in the forward orientation they are WHITE to illuminate your way forward and the rear light bank glows RED for awareness by vehicles while riding. They are even smart enough to know when they are forward or rear so if you flip your pedals while riding...they'll change to the correct light setting (incredibly cool feature). Each pedal comes with two rechargeable light banks that plug directly into the supplied USB charging hub. Again. CONVIENIENT. And I have to make a comment on just how dang cool the light banks feel when you load and unload them from the pedal...there's a VERY satisfying magnetic pull as they lock in place. Fit and finish here is simply excellent. Most importantly though - the light banks aren't going ANYWHERE while you're riding..they are very secure in place - yet VERY easy to remove when you want to charge. As far as length of charge goes - I was out on a 2.5 hour ride the other day with the lights on in constant on mode and they lasted the entire ride. Amazing for how small the light cartridges are.THE GOOD STUFF:- PRECISION crafted metal. This is high quality - you'll see it right out of the box.- EXCELLENT illumination in the evening - truly game changing and you'll feel safe with the rear or your pedals illuminated in RED.- Very good battery life (works as advertised to my experience)- Includes USB charging hub- Lighting modules are easily removed but fit securely in place with a satisfying magentic pull (SERIOUSLY COOL)- Easily mount on any bikes using standard sizes (seriously easy to mount)THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF:- NOTHING. These pedals with their feature set and build quality are worth the price.WORTH IT? Absolutely. These are a game changer for cyclists safety and visibility on the road. I'll be buying another set for my other bike as I can't imagine riding without them now.

great safety add
I am a bike commuter doing thousands of miles a day. My morning commute is done in the dark and visibility is always a concern. I saw a pair of these on another bike and needed to figure out what they were as this made the bike stand out so much due to the moving lights. They are pricey, I have spent less than this on used bicycles, but when it comes to gear to be visible I would rather spend the money to avoid ending up on the wrong side of a vehicle accident. These are nice wide pedals with good grip nubs so they work well without clips and I never slip on them. As pedals go they are also medal and look really nice on the bike.As to the lights themselves they are held in magnetically and well, so you can choose to slip them out when parked, or not depending on where you are locking things up. They charge via any USB port, as you can see they even charge in the front of my PC case. It included the 4 way split to charge them all at the same time from one port, but its nice knowing any splitter will do this and that it is not a proprietary charger. kudos for that redshift. When it comes to visibility and if you ride at night i highly suggest these. visibility is key to safety, and these are hard to miss while spinning.

Excellent High Visibility Pedals
I usually ride with a small tail light on my seat post when it gets dark out. Although that works well, these are superb and very well made.I do mostly mountain biking, and as such, I tend to beat up my pedals pretty good on rocks and roots. I was worried that these wouldn't be able to hold up to the abuse but so far they are working just as well as a normal flat platofmr pedal. Additionally, the included surface pegs do a good job of keeping my feet in place. I do wish they were adjustable, but even without, they sit right around where I would normally have them. They spin very well, and I have absolutely no issue with the actual pedal side of these aside from the weight, but I'll take some added heft for more visibility. The lights are very bright, easy to put in, easy to charge and overall just well designed. I use them a couple of times a week on my way back from biking when it starts getting dark and I feel that much more safe knowing that my feet are catching the attention of any would be distracted drivers. These are somewhat expensive for pedals, but very much worth it for anyone looking to increase their safety profile. Excellent overall. My Star Rating Guide:--------------------------------------------------------------------★ - Low Quality / fundamentally flawed product - I do not recommend it at all★★ - Poor Quality - Works, but is disappointing for various reasons.★★★ - Decent Quality - Is what it claims to be but there may be better options.★★★★ - Very Good - Worth considering.★★★★★ - Excellent - I highly recommend it.
