Q: There's approx 4mm gap between top part of handle and body of pan. I'm concerned that water would get in & destroy inside. Anyone else have this?

Frankly, I hadn't even noticed this gap until the question was asked and then I took mine out and had a look just now. No problems noticed so far. Cannot see any visible signs of destruction. No rust in sight, the little bit of the inside of the handle under that particular gap that I can see still appears to shine like stainless steel. Handle still very firmly attached. Nothing appears loose or corroded. However, my pan is only ever subjected to light use and is usually allowed to dry in-between uses. Hope this helps.

No it does not have a lid but Stella sell lids separately. I use this jug for all sorts. Most useful AMF

Excellent for porridge, soups and stews - I love these jug pans as they are easy to handle, store and are very versatile

No, the interior is made of the same material as the exterior. You will need to stir the contents, but the base is very thick and things don’t stick easily. I use it all the time for gravy when I make a roast meal and it’s great.
