Why can I not just buy one? I don’t need two units.

The main listing that comes up has a minimum quantity of 2. If you scroll down to 'Other Sellers On Amazon' you will see the same thing sold by 'NorthXSouth'. It's the same price and on Prime. They let you buy just one. Not sure why anyone would want 2 of these at the same time!

I find it completely filters all chlorine, and the water tastes much better.

Can the tap be locked in the on position?

To dispense water the tap handle needs to be pulled forwards and then pushed back to stop. This will stay in place when pulled down without having to hold on. - BRITACare
