The timer is giant! I thought it would be the same size as the ones that are typically in a game, but its about 10x the size! Seems decently sturdy, but I haven't used it with my nephews yet! :) It clocked in at 1min 3 secs, so fairly accurate and I like that its a little long and not short!

Disappointed if this little sand clock. The sand gets stuck. It says it ia 30 mins and it takes forever. And i got this for my 6 year for when he is doing homework and since sand gets stuck then it is not actually timing it. Also it is very small. Seems durable, it was affordable but not worth your money.

The media could not be loaded. What can I say, this is a basic five minute sand timer. I haven't timed it off of a regular clock, but seems to be pretty close to five minutes... I mean, how close can you get with grains of sand falling through a tiny opening? I like the color options and that the sand matches the container color.Pretty happy with it overall.

We use this as a tooth brushing timer. My kids take turns flipping it over each time they brush. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, but my kids kind of love that. I also wish it came in a 2 minute increment because that's the recommended time for brushing, that extra minute makes it feel SO long lol.Overall, my kids enjoy this timer and it's been a big help in getting them to brush well!

This sand watch is pretty nice. The color is nice and vibrant and I like that it comes with the time marked on both ends. It's pretty accurate, I measure the time for this 10 minutes piece and it was 10 minutes and 16 seconds, which is pretty good for me. It comes inside a plastic cylinder, which prevents it from breaking easily and makes it easy to hold. Its also a good size, small and compact, and it's very lightweight making it easy to transport. This is a great tool to help me and my kids stay focused on one task without getting overwhelmed. I most definitely recommend it.

I love hourglasses. They are great for taking a peaceful break where you can focus on nothing else other than the falling sand. They’re also pretty good for a project where you say, “OK, I'll do that for ten minutes,” because then you’ll start and find out twenty minutes later that the hourglass ran out and you didn’t even notice. This one has a purple base/top with purple sand. I like how the sand-containing portion is protected by a hard plastic cylinder.I was wondering how accurate this hourglass would be, so I tested it eight times using my stopwatch and timer. It was a good way of getting to read for over an hour! I found that the results were consistently accurate to within 3 seconds, plus or minus one second, all on the shorter side of the ten minutes. That’s plenty good enough for what I’m using it for, especially if I figure in the three seconds!

I was a little surprised that this timer was five inches tall, but since it is bright orange, I think that I can keep track of this timer in my classroom.I ran the timer for 5 minutes against a different timer, both ended at the same time, so I feel this timer is a fair assessment of allowing in my classroom for 5 minute expectations or breaks.One of the quirks of this type of sand timer, there will always be a little bit of sand at the bottom of the glass after the majority of the timer is out. A soft tap will send those last few grains of sand to the bottom so the timer can start over again.A good way to start, nice and quiet which works for many of the students I work with.
