What is the operating temperature requirements? Will this work in cold & dry locations?

We have had no issues using these in equipment that is outside with minimal to no heating.

Does this require a POE switch to operate correctly?

You can use a POE injector if your switch doesn’t support POE.

Does this extender have to go in the middle of the run?

No. It can be placed at any point in the run, as long as its location is in the specified working environment. The illustration shows the extender in the middle solely for the order in which it is connected.

Can I put this right by the network switch and extend the signal past 350 ft?

I’ve only ever used this at the end of a run that I was having issues with. If you have a good quality switch you should be able to get to 300ft. Then you would add one of these and get another 300+ feet. Hope this helps.
