Chinese pump works well so far
I had a similar pump from another Chinese brand that pumped great but developed a squeal on the bearings that I had to return because it would prematurely fail I was sure. This pump like the other Chinese brand installed nicely and so far is very quiet. But I’m sure I won’t get 20 years out of this like my old Hayward pump. So at this price I’m going to buy a spear. So far it runs great lots of pressure and I’m please Life expectancy to be determined

check connecting bolts before install.
First item received leaked at the bottom of the connection of the skimmer basket to the pump unit. Was a small leak, but still a leak. Requested return for a replacement. Replacement arrived and I checked all the bolts connecting the skimmer basket to the pump. Found they were loose. I tightened before installing. This time, no leak. Suggest buyers check the tightness of the bolts prior to install. Might save you a return.
