Metal rods, plastic joints, fits easily together. Plastic sheath is also fairly thick which makes quite tear resistant. Be aware the shelves that the pot actually rest on are quite flimsy so a larger, heavier clay pot may make them sag.

Learn from my mistake
This greenhouse was such a bad purchase it actually prompted me to write my first ever product review so no one else makes the same mistake I did in buying it. As mentioned in other reviews, the trays are very lightweight, so you can only put items the size of seedlings on it. The rods are hollow and lightweight, so if you experience anything stronger than 5 mph winds, it is going to topple. I tried to weight it down by placing rocks over the rods on the bottom, but all that accomplished was when a strong wind came through, the rods and plastic couplers bent and broke. I suspect if you can put it in a sunny place, sheltered from the wind and tie it down from the top and bottom, it might hold, but I suspect a strong enough wind will still result in the rods bending and breaking. Save your money.

Bought this to replace a smaller cheaper one. It arrived on time and in good condition. The directions were easy to follow until I got to the top and had to waste time figuring out how the poles arched. The wire shelves just lay on top of the poles wish they had sent something to secure them I used floral wire if not they fall off with the slightest bump. The plastic cover is sturdy but needs to be reinforced better where the zippers are. It's already separating at the bottom. I use this to winter potted perennials and start seeds in the spring. I like the height of the greenhouse I can stand in it to plant my seeds and not have to worry about the wind. I don't like the length of the cover and where the ties are to attach it to the frame. The cover isn't long enough to be secure at the bottom of the greenhouse. On windy days the wind blows underneath and lifts the plastic up a couple of inches. Letting in cold air. If the ties were closer to the shelves this would not be a problem. Overall OK product.

Happy with my greenhouse.
I have been sprouting my vegetables in pots. I live in Las Vegas, Nv, you have to start planting before the heat comes. Established plant do good when they are started early. You c an walk into the greenhouse and turn around. We have a LOT of wind so we anchored it too the ground. The zipper did break away from the plastic and I used duct tape to repair. We also duct taped all of the joints to make them stronger. We just had a storm with 50 mph wind didn't effect the greenhouse. I did put it in my yard next to a wall.

Awesome greenhouse
I love how from afar the green mesh makes it look like a green house! It also helps the plants from burning up vs my clear one. We did have a mishap with a hole in the cover, but amazon resolved that right away.

Flimsy and cheap
This would only work for somewhere with zero wind. It's super lightweight and flimsy. The shelves didn't sit right on the bars, and the cover had half of the ties in the wrong spots (either outside when they should be inside to tie to the frame, or so far over you couldn't tie to the game and get the door closed at the same time).

Excited about our very affordable & effective green/hothouse
Total crap! Gave it a great review for the first spring then when no longer needed for summer closed it up and it melted!!! Ordered and installed a replacement cover for the next spring then when no longer needed that early summer decided to not close the entrance flap thinking that will vent some of the heat & solve the problem. It melted down slightly less but full of holes making it useless. Since I built a platform & back shelves for it & the frame is Ok have ordered a roll of greenhouse plastic and am going to replace the crappy original stuff. I live in northern Virginia not northern Death Valley.

Great idea, poor execution
Easy set up, but very cheaply made. We had to use glue (which is not provided) to keep the sections of plastic pipe together. The exterior cover began to rip at some of the seams and at the zipper after about 2 months. By the end of the season the zipper had broke and we had to duct tape several spots. This product would probably be great in an area that doesn't get any real wind as it is very light, we had to zip tie it to our deck.
