MAHAO Self-Threading Needles (Set of 48 / Pack of 4)

Many of the needles do not have a slot that goes all the way through to the eye. Tears the thread or cuts the thread. That's the bad part. The good part is it does have a separate eye that you can thread the old-fashioned way. But that's not why I bought these needles. Secondly when you have to align the thread across the top of the needle it is very difficult for people with poor sight.So in consideration of the difficulty of having to thread the needle across the tip top of the needle and the fact that not all needles have a channel that go through to the eye and cut the thread I would give these at 3 or less Stars.

Received my needles today. I checked package and they come in 4/12. Took them out of package and two of the 4 were missing needles. 2 had 12 needles, 1 had 10, 1 had 8. I think if your going to sell 48, you should get 48.

I have had these kind of needles before, but in my opinion, the manufacturing of this particular variety is not a good quality. I have used two needles successfully (they function as they are supposed to), and five others had to be thrown out because the thread would not go through them as it is supposed to. The quantity received is not a good deal if I end up throwing 3/4 of them away.

Pretty pleased. Completely forgot that it came with 4 whole packs, and for $6 it’s basically a steal. Especially considering I am partially blind so using regular neeedles is completely impossible, and I generally require help from other people. I used to use these all the time but lost most of them somehow. I will say these can be really fragile and the needle head ( where the string goes through ) does have a tendency to break if your not careful. Also learning how much pressure to use when inserting the string can be trial and error, I break my string trying sometimes. But once u get the hang of it, it works like a charm.

These are brilliant. I was constantly losing the very few large eye needles that come in a pack of needles and it was driving me insane because I have a half-dozen packs of needles that I can't use! But with these, I can use all of them and they are super easy to thread! You just push the thread down in the little crack on the needle top and it slips under the lip, securing the thread and allowing you to get on with your project. Moe I've been able to hem all of my work pants, fix my husband's shirt buttons and the little tear on his pocket with no problems. I also think I'll finally be able to finish that embroidery project I started in April. Definitely worth the price.

I thought that these would be very easy to thread, but instead, it took me a few attempts. You need to line up the thread with the slit on top of the needle head and then snap it down into place. It is not the best design, but it is easier than traditional threading.

I use these needles to bury my threads on my quilts that I have machine quilted. So nice that I don't have to actually thread the needle as sometimes my threads are not very long. I absolutely could not get the look I want without burying threads and these needles get the job done. Quick shipment and I love I didn't need to "shop" for these needles anywhere but on Amazon!

These are great easy thread needles! I’ve had other kinds that break the thread when you try to pull it into the eye, but with these the thread slips in easily and stays in! They don’t come unthreaded until I’m ready to unthread it! Plus these come in different sizes which is really great too!
