EXCELLENT FAN
Excellent fan. Very quiet-even on turbo speed. Can be aimed easily and works well oscillating. Diffuses air broadly, even in a fixed position. Remote works well from across the room. Assembly was easy, however directions are pictures only and lack written instructions which would have helped. Fortunately I had read prior reviews and picked up that one item screws counterclockwise to tighten. Overall, this fan cost more than some others, but I'm delighted with it!

You're getting what you paid for !
So i was previously using a fan i bought at Big Lots called bahammas breeze and although its a cheap fan it has lasted me about 6 years i looked for the fan on here and couldn't find it again so i attempted to try a new brand . After looking and reading reviews for days i decided to go with this one ! What got me was that it looked really nice and very well made and was said to be made from Germany ! Although it's a bit pricey you're definitely getting what you paid for ! It's very heavy i love that the fan is metal instead of plastic and the blades are plastic so i can wash them the base is really big but it's very strong and heavy which is good because my other fan the base was too light and it would fall alot to the point where i had to find my own base and mount it on so i love this one ! I love that not only does it have 3 settings but it has 2 more settings ! It has for low med and High plus the turbo and silent night . Suprisingly the low setting is still very strong and cold . I like loud fans so the noise doesnt bother me but its not as loud as my other fan . What's cool is when i watch t.v i would have to turn off my fan to really hear the t.v but with this fan i could put it on silent night and still be able to hear my t.v and have my fan on . The silent night setting is really cool !! Its actually very silent like the fan is not even on . The turbo setting is my favorite although there's really no need for it because all settings are great but if you want that extra high breeze its nice to have that setting . The remote is tiny but cute and i did not like that it did not come with batteries and the batteries are the big circle ones so i had to go to the store and buy them . But overall this fan was a GREAT purchase and im glad i took the risk to buy it !!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗 UPDATE: I bought in September of 2018 and today is August of 2025 and my fan is giving out after 7 great years the speed settings are changing by itself it goes to turbo low medium high low turbo again.... upon reading it said it could be an electrical problem or wiring being exposed or dust in the motor. I'm not about to take it apart and investigate it so it will be thrown away BUT, It did last a lot longer than I expected so it was definitely worth the purchase. I absolutely love this fan and im going to miss it. I'll probably get another one lol

Satisfyingly quiet, good airflow
I've had this fan for almost two years now and use it daily. I've never used the remote and don't know if it came with a battery. Compared to the other fans I've had, it is very quiet. As with all fans, it gets louder when it goes faster. It has three main speeds, plus "Silent Night" and "Turbo Boost". Silent Night is good if you just want a little airflow in a room. From a few feet away it is very close to silent. Turbo Boost is very effective in preventing my sensitive smoke alarm from going off any time I use the stove. Decided to write a review because although I love this fan and would buy it again, there was one feature that drove me crazy: the ratcheting tilt adjustment barely held the fan head up and it would often drop to the lowest tilt setting. I see at least one other reviewer had this issue. After many quick looks to see if I could find something to adjust, I finally figured it out today. Right at the hinge point for the tilt, there are rounded, shiny, plastic caps. These have a little notch on one edge that allows you to pry with a flathead screwdriver. The cap won't come all the way off, but will bend back. One side reveals a nut and one side reveals the bolt head. Tighten the bolt head and everything is fixed. Since this was very annoying and I don't see other people mention it, I'm assuming that the fan usually comes with this screw tightened more than mine was. Also, the pre-made 18" plywood circles from Home Depot fit the base perfectly. I put six casters on one of those and can now roll the fan around easily. I need to move the fan often and this had made it an enjoyable exercise instead of a frustrating one.

Good quite fan with a few caveats, Overall I am satisfied
I recently just got the fan 5 speed fan. First, I will monitor for rust on the guard, but seeing the reviews of rust are all from high humidity areas (Hawaii, Florida, etc), wish more people would put where they are from when reviewing something that has finish defects like this. I am from SLC UT, low humidity, dry environment. Other than cars rusting due to salt sprayed on the road during the winter, I have never seen anything else rust here in the 40 years I have been here. That being said, the fan so far is great, decent wind movement and VERY quiet. I have several fans due to liking the feeling of a breeze inside. Yes my wind machine does move more air, but at a MUCH louder penalty. A few things that I could not find elsewhere. First, this fan is controlled by an IC. That being said, if you use it with an AC inverter, generator, or the like, it has to be a pure sine wave inverter, using a clipped or maybe (stress maybe) a modified sinewave will easily burn it up. I say maybe on the modified as I am not going to risk burning it up to find out. But other fans with logic will be damaged when anything other than a pure sinewave inverter is used. Another thing, and Jeff J Dunn hit on it during his one star review. The fans control board powers up in a nominally off state, IE, if power is removed and reapplied, you must “turn it on” and when turned on it starts in the med fan position. That being said, if you plan on using a KASA. TPlink, WEMO or other smart outlet it will not work, since when it turns on, the fan will stay off, IE defeating the purpose. For those of us like me who run it off a battery bank/ inverter/ solar, here are wattage requirements using my kill-a-watt for monitoring. Silent= (which is a waste of energy in my book as the airflow is so low) 11W, Low= 39W, Med= 49W, High= 60W, Turbo= 67W. Compare this to the wind machine which is a simply motor driven fan with no real logic, operates with smart outlets and draws 70/85/100W (L/M/H). This data may impact your purchase, so its better to know ahead of time. As many other pointed out, the remote does not come with a battery, but CR2032 batteries are dirt cheap and most people will keep a few around since you typically get 10 or so for $4-5 on Amazon easily. Not going to knock the vendor for not providing them, but its good to know up front and the remote is not needed for operation. The fan also comes completely disassembled (the cage and blade are not even mounted to the motor, mine came with instructions but its so easy to put together, they are not needed. The only odd ball thing is something that is molded to the center nut of the blade shaft, the threads here are reverse threaded, so think backwards on this threading ONLY. All others are standard thread rotation.

nice and silent - dropping stars for horrid design
SECOND UPDATE: Since the makers of the quietest and most reliable fan in history also live in a magical land where there is no dust have decided to make a grill face that is nearly impossible to remove once assembled (still one of the more difficult assemblies I have encountered, making IKEA assemblies look easy), another company has stepped in and made the IDEAL TOOL for removing the the front grill from a Rowenta fan: Tweezerman. The rounded back end of a pair of tweezers from Tweezerman, when inserted from the back of the lip of the grill and then just simply moved around the circle of the grill, will pop that thing right off. Much smoother than using a screwdriver. Now those of us who live in places where dust exists can also enjoy our Rowenta fans without suffering terrible allergies from dust being blown in our faces. Clean fan, happy customers! Now I need to go add an extra star to a tweezerman review because of the extra usefulness of that product. They should consider a partnership. (Note: despite the headaches of this fan, I continue to buy them. They are now the only fan in my house, including on my screened porch (still no rusting, as long as I move it inside when it rains). It is the quietest and most effective house fan I have ever owned). UPDATE: '(EDIT: It turned out I had a defective unit. Rowenta sent me a new blade casing unit and it works fine. Adding one star back, but keeping one off because the grill removal for cleaning is still a ridiculous pain). After the frustration of putting this together despite the very vague picture directions, apparently something is wrong with the way I installed it because the blades are scraping on the grill when it starts and stops. Perhaps those "pictures" aren't quite as explanatory as they hoped. I removed the screw for the bottom bracket and have nearly broken my fingers trying to pry the thing open to reseat the blades. No luck. It would have been incredibly easy to design the fan so that the grill pops on and off easily. Unfortunately, they decided to not do it in such a logical way. It's like they designed it to never be removed (making cleaning obviously impossible, which is highly necessary for fans). I'm not sure why they made the choices they did, but apparently this fan will always be a dud because I cannot do what should be a simple task. Perhaps there is a "trick" I'm not figuring out, but the directions sure as heck don't explain this mysterious trick and it isn't among the very logical things I tried. Extremely frustrating. Dropping a star. Hopefully in the future they will hire a better design engineer. What a shame. The quietest fan on the market and just it's just designed so badly. ----ORIGINAL REVIEW I have 2 of the the 4 speeds and the table fan and now have purchased the 5 speed. These definitely are the quietest fans I've ever owned. I have one that sits behind me at my piano and I forget to turn it off because it is so silent even though it is only a couple of feet behind me. Others have complained about rusting on the grill, but my original one is on its fourth year and is still fine. I live in a relatively humid region not far from the ocean. No rust. Putting together this new 5 speed was a bit frustrating because it comes oddly disassembled (where you have to unassemble and then reassemble pieces). The instructions are photos only and some of the steps were not quite as intuitive as pictured. But other than a few moments of utter confusion, it was a relatively quick job. I love the convenience of the remotes. When I purchased my original fan, the remote had a battery. I was surprised to find that this new one did not, so I've had to order the CR2032 battery. I guess they're saving pennies where they can, but I find that annoying. I don't like that I need a screwdriver to remove the front of the grill in order to clean the grill and blades. Nothing gathers dust faster than a fan and they all need constant cleaning. All said, though, this is my favorite brand of fan. The quiet is wonderful.

Worth the price ten times over.
This is the best fan ever. The distance of the breeze goes across the room (29ft) The quiet button is amazing, still feel the air but quiet. Used every day. Easy to dust off. Keeps the house cool

puts other fans to shame
i think this is my favorite product of all time i'm not joking i'm v noise and temperature sensitive (thanks autism) and when the air is too still and warm i feel like i'm suffocating, so usually when it gets hot and i'm living someplace without incredible A/C i have to make insane tradeoffs. this rowenta fan has all the power of a normal fan but it's quieter than i thought was possible, by a wide margin. half the time when i turn it on (usually the 2nd lowest setting, maybe even the medium one) i FORGET THAT IT'S ON and notice like an hour after i stopped needing it that the head is still turning. even the turbo setting sounds like... idk a normal fan on medium mode??? also something about the limited sound it does produce is kind of soothing (except for the turbo which starts to have additional mechanical sounds i'd expect of a normal fan). it's massive and a pain to haul around if you only have one but i live in a fairly small nyc apartment and it's well worth the square footage. i'm obsessed with this thing also the beeping isnt as loud as scott (that one reviewer) says but if it bothers you he wrote out instructions for how to make it stop. (thank you scott for persuading me to drop $$ on this thing, worth every penny and more). idk maybe if you arent as sensitive as i am you wont get why i'm raving about it, and maybe if you're more sensitive you'll be disappointed, but for me this thing's absolute magic

Powerful, Quiet, and Stylish
Fast delivery, easy assembly, and the fan is exactly as described. Its design is sleek and modern, and it fits perfectly in the room. In terms of performance, it is powerful, quiet, and very effective even at low speed settings. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend it.

Worst product, Chinese are better.
The moment I switched it on after assembling, it linked off with a big noise. Wwaited long for the product, and faced huge disappointment after spending so much.

Expensive fan and possibly worth it...
I received the product definitely in new condition unlike a few unfortunate reviews. I'm rating it 5 stars for what it is. An expensive fan that definitely outperforms most common household fans . The "silent night" mode that is the most quiet barely produces much wind . So unfortunately, we will not be using that mode even tho we wanted a truly silent night time fan . However, the other modes that produce more wind are noticeably more silent then our Walmart stock $20 dollar fan. But not massively more quiet . The quality is top notch . Sturdy, heavy, user friendly, easy to assemble . And if you turn it up to the max then it produces a lot more wind than our stock standard fan . Although when it's going full blast , it is still more quiet then our standard fan and gives more wind.... It is not quiet enough for my liking to be on at night, at max speed. We bought this because I wanted to be able to hear things at night ... Ie: kids or dog in trouble). But bottom line is I said to my fiance that we are keeping it. She needs a fan and I want something more quiet then what we had . So it boils down to your purpose on what you want this for . If you have lots of $$ and want just a solid fan then it's great . If you want something more powerful then an average fan, but don't want to spend Dyson $$ on it, then it's a great alternative. But if you need something whisper quiet.. then I don't believe this is it. It's great compared to regular fans, but at what cost? It's about 8 times more expensive then a regular fan and I personally don't believe it's real quiet night time mode produces enough wind. But it has 4 other modes that produce well and are still more quiet then a regular fan... I'm not buying a Dyson... So I feel this is the best I'll get cause I would never spend more on a fan, that's for sure. I purchased this at regular prices, I believe, which was $160.

Super calidad y silencioso. Potente
