This is an interesting product. Best used in a mill or crushed in mortar/pestle for most uses. Especially nice as a table salt for fish, potato, sweet corn and other light colored dishes. You can tell exactly how much you put on and where you put it! Good flavor, but we like to mix it about 50/50 with pink Himalayan salt for table use in the mill. This stuff works amazing for baked pretzel salt as is, gives them an exotic look with great flavor, and in a rub (crushed finer) for smoked fish and meats. Once again, you can tell where you put it and how much due to the dark color. It will turn your hands black, but washes off easily.

Nice and salty!

This is pretty salt BUT it is large chunks rather than a flake salt. The charcoal comes off on everything. I like it, and the aesthetic is nice but you can't really rim a glass with it and if you want something not so crunchy as a garnish it won't suit. So - a lovely salt but a very specific use case.

Good flavor and volume. Great for Hawaiian Luau Pork.

Beautiful product. I use this for spell jars. Nice deep black color that sparkles in the light. Love it.

Taste great

Tastes ok and visually stunning but disappointed that it was neither from Hawaii nor was it naturally black but rather processed with charcoal. That being said it does taste good and visually has great contrast appeal.
