Amazon stopped carrying the root powder I had used for years. I gave this one a try to see how it compares. The container is a bit smaller, but it’s fine. I have dark auburn hair and this color is totally off. It is more of a warm brown. I can work with it, but it’s not the shade for me. The powder does stay put wherever you put it. I use a blush brush to apply it so there is a lot of fallout that does get messy. If the color was correct I would mind all the fallout, but I guess it’s difficult to get the correct shade for redheads. I still keep purchasing it because it does cover up my roots very well. As you can see, it does get messy. I always keep back ups in my bathroom.

Its good but you get so little the container makes it look like there's alot but then you look underneath and surprise its so little...

Great customer service.I went by the photo review of someone who purchased Auburn and it was red in their photo... the Auburn I received was dark brown. Total waste. Just leaves dark brown "eyeshadow" on your scalp!!

I use red hair dye, and this is the closest I've come to finding a "red" root touch up/bald spot cover up.. Unfortunately, and I knew this going in, but I was hopeful, it does NOT work with the red shade I use on my hair.. The cover up is just too dark, to brownish.. That said it does work pretty well, I couldn't see my emerging dark roots on the spot I tested and it did help to cover up the thinning area a bit as well. But I did make a bit of a mess trying it out. And I worry that on a hot day, (like they've all been lately, it's supposed to hit the high 80's today) that it might run once you start sweating.

Whoops! Using men's hair clippers, I accidentally cut a wide bald patch into my already short hair, on the back of my head!Was there anything that could disguise this, short of a wig? Well, yes. I found this powder, which, generously applied to the bald spot, worked well, considering most people aren't going to be inspecting the back of my head that closely. The bald spot has grown back, but I'm happy to have found this product which is indeed, good for root touch-ups and which I'll continue to use.
