I was afraid the puck might be too thin and prone to bending or deforming, well rest assured, that's not the case, it's pretty sturdy, so no worries. It definitely improves the extraction and the consistency between pulls. And it excels in keeping coffee out of your group head.

I’m using this puck screen with a Gaggia Classic. The GC has a screw in the center of the shower screen that protrudes down. The hole in this puck screen allows me to use a bigger dose without pressing the puck screen into the screw. My Normcore puck screen with no hole has a mark and an indentation from the screw head. See my uploaded pic.

I am using this in conjunction with a leveler and a spring loaded tamper. Adding the additional screen made a difference and improvement and the consistency of the shots.

Bought for my rancilio silvia, works great, though had a bit of a learning curve. (Had to drop .2grams for the porta filter to connect easily)

Works great with the espresso machine. Screen doesn’t hit or rub on the screen screw of the brew head. Forget those influencer puck screens with whatever on them.

Compré hace unas semanas un disco de malla sin orificio. No funcionó muy bien, ya que tenía fuga de agua alrededor del porta filtro y el disco se deformó por el tornillo del grupo de la máquina. Pensé colocar menos café en el filtro, pero luego se acumulaba agua sobre el disco. En fin, todo se corrigió con un disco con orificio en medio. El expresso sale perfecto.

Fits the La Marzocca portafilter perfectly. Easy to use, clean and feels like a quality product. No complaints and would buy again.

It’s a good quality filter but I doubt it really makes any change in shot quality, etc. Nonetheless it has held up for over year now and I think that a hole is better than no hole 🤷‍♂️

Very good quality but in my case it doesn’t work. Very high thickness 1.7mm. When I put on the portafilter, I can’t install on the heat of my Rancilio machine. I read on the forum in those cases put less coffee powder in the basques , but once again I can’t do that because I can’t change the dose on my Roky grander (twice for a single espresso and three times for double espresso). If I put less coffee in the banquet manually I will lost the coffee ready. I did already use the puck 0.8 mm and it did work well but It had a lot of powder on the top after espresso because it was a single layer. If I could fine a multiple layer under 1 mm it could be perfect.

The Normcore Espresso Puck Strainer (58.5mm) fits perfectly in my Bezzera portafilter and adds almost no extra thickness, making it ideal for tight baskets.
