Good to have with your dive gear
I've been diving for 20 years and I've always worn an SMB. My old one is orange but I recently heard that the Navy has decided that pink is a more visable/spottable color, so since my old one is looking a little faded, I got a new one in pink. This is larger than they used to make them, but I bought 2 different brands and both were larger, so maybe that is just another improvement on the safety benefits if you should ever be stranded in the ocean. I recommend wearing one if you dive, and this one works. I plan to roll up some cording in the middle of it in case I ever need to send it up during a safety stop, just so that boats see it before I pop my head out of the water.

Important info for new divers
If you’re new to scuba diving, be careful of this type of safety tube. My wife and I learned while practice diving that inflating the tube through blowing through the mouth piece is challenging. It will take several breaths depending on the depth you deploy it. The problem is, once you start inflating the tube [you] will encounter lift much like adding air to your BCD. Again, be careful inflating this prior to the completion of your safety stop as it will pull you up rapidly. Better solution is an open bottom that has a purge valve to prevent over inflation. That way you can use one of your regulators, or exhaled air to fill the tube. Either way, both will create lift. Other than learning the above multiple breaths and created lift, the product performs as stated, however, it never did stand erect. Instead, since it didn’t have a weighted bottom, it laid completely on its side. Hope this helps! Enjoy your dives!

Good value
My son has recently gotten into scuba diving in mountain lakes. He bought this as a safety precaution so boats see he is in the water but it is also helpful for me to see where he is. This rolls up small, seems durable and was a good value for the price.

Must blow up with mouth.
I suppose it's not a product but didn't open up til in water. The video shows one blowing it up before you dive. Thats not realistic. And when tried to blow up with out regulator in mouth, couldn't get it blown up. So just know you can't blow up with backup regulator. Must take regulator out of mouth to blow up.

A améliorer
Bonne idée, bon concept et tissus bien solide MAIS le bout de plastique qui visse pour barré après le gonflage tourne dans le beurre donc il dégonfle un peu chaque fois qu'on lui touche sans faire exprès. très dommage......
