I’m a non professional who recently got into painting her hair nails. I’m honestly shocked how easy and how well this turned out. It is time consuming, but really foolproof if you take your time. The red glitter is a little finicky, but I think it’s bc I didn’t mix it well enough. Next time I’d do the solid red under it. The gold and green were perfect.

This dip powder is amazing! I have been doing my own nails (nude press-ons and painting them myself with gel) for a couple years now to save money. I wanted to try this dip powder and give my nails a break from the glue to see if they would grow stronger and also find something that might last a little longer. It’s been 11 days since my very first application and my nails still look great! No cracking or chipping at all! This dip kit can really be used by anyone with a little practice. I’ll write out my steps to help. 1. Make sure to prep your nails!!! I buffed my nails and made sure to clean up my cuticles first. I Washed my hands with dawn soap. once fully dry I sprayed my nails with alcohol and wiped my nails dry. I then waiting 5min before starting to apply the dip powder. 2. Make sure you are applying a THIN even coat of base. If you have too much on the brush it’s going to accumulate on the sides of your nail beds and create a bumpy and uneven result. Also, make sure you are getting the base coat on the edges of your nails. I’ll be honest, this is the hardest part. 3. SPRINKLE the powder on evenly over the entire nail! I chose not to dip my finger into the cup or tray, and I think this really helped my end result. Don’t tap or brush off the excess right away. Let it bind to the base coat and dry for 1-2min before dusting off the extra dip. I did 3 applications of the powder and 2 layers of top coat. My first attempt wasn’t perfect but they are lasting and well worth the money! I also like the idea of using this powder on my longer press-on nails because it will be stronger than gel polish and prevent them from cracking/breaking as easily. I just bought this and used the pink color closest to a light pink subtle by shiny. I love the color and there is a bit of a learning curve but I love how they turned out. Definitely worth the money. Lasted a week without any chips but day 8 since I work with my hands cook and do lots of dishes two nails chipped. Easy fix just re did two and will probably last another week. Highly recommend if you’re looking to save some money from a 50 dollar dip manicure. Pro tip: get an electric nail fail/ dremel (got mine at a tjmaxx for 8 bucks) and it’s much easier to fix any uneven areas.

This is easy to apply and looks great. It didn’t get clumpy while I was applying it like other dips I’ve tried. I like the colors too. I like that I didn’t need a uv light either.

The powder is nice and small with no lumps. The color came out really nice. I used builder powder for the first dip but it didn't come in the starter kit, I purchased that separately. After 2 dips of the light purple it came out nice. Then I did one dip of the sparkle white powder. Which gives me the effect you see in the picture. Everything was fine until I got to the activator. The smell of horrible and it burned my eyes. From what I understand this same brand as the dip liquids in a non harsh version. Would be nice if they used those liquids in the starter kit. For that I can't give more than 3 stars. Also the instructions were incomplete which is why so many people have lifting. Watch YouTube videos on how to prep the nails properly before and proper application of the powder during. Alot of helpful tips from several Youtubers. A tip, have a timer near buy as you are doing the dip. It helps in making sure everything is dry between dips, powder, activator, and top coat. Also wait at least 2 mins between dip powder and applying base for next dip, then wait 2 mins before and after activator is applied. Shape nail then wash hands without soap just water to get dust or any powder still left on fingers off, put top coat on wait another 2 mins or even longer it you do a thick coat, then do 2nd top coat wait 5mins before applying cuticle oil.

The instructions were very vague. I had to watch a few videos on youtube. I worked well and lasted a few weeks. There is definitely a teething process while you learn it. I did find that the activator had a really strong smell and I had to take breaks while I was using it because it made me feel a bit nauseous. That's the biggest downside for me.

Was my first time ever using this type of thing let alone ever doing my own nails with it. It was super easy and straight forward. I am someone who’s insanely picky about who does or touches my nails I have been getting gels for a lot of years and I actually think this did a better job then some of the stuff some salons or home based people have around. Had lots of compliments on the colours.
