Sun Protection and Hydration
Great lip balms! They smell delicious. They go on well and don't cause my lips to peel after a few hours like many other lip balms do. The only con is that they do leave a white-ish cast on my lips which makes me look ill. So I always top this off with another tinted lip balm or lipstick.

Best summer beach balm ever
Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of Sun Bum products, but not their lip balms; their flavored balms (coconut, mango, etc) are too sweet and thin feeling. So I thought I’ve give these Burts Bees a try and I am glad I did. The balm is not sweet. The flavors are amazing. The consistency is nice and thick, stays on for a long time, and doesn’t get squishy or melty sitting in your beach bag in the heat. If your lips are cracked, there’s no burning because the formula is so mild. Love it! So just buy it already! 😆

Best 30 SPF lip balm
I tried a few other 30 SPF lip balms and these are by far the best. They do leave a slight white cast but not as bad as other SPF lip balms. Burt's bees SPF lip balm is my favorite. The scents/flavors are well done and not overwhelming. For regular lip balm without SPF I'm trying to get away from single use plastics and have a reusable metal lip balm container and use Portland Bee Balm lip balm refills.

Delivered 2/14/25, EXP 1/2026.
Don't panic at first like I did that EXP is month/day, it's month/year 😄. That said, taking off 1 point because manufacturer states these are given a 3-year expiry date from the month of manufacture, which means these are 2 years old. More a comment on the seller than than the product though. I've definitely had regular sticks I've used past expiration before, but the EXP here means the SPF factor could be unreliable after that, which I can't afford to risk, so they'll have to be dumped and replaced in December. Quality seems typical of Burt's, which I've always found fine. These are all white, no colors, and there may be an initial whitecast (honestly pretty unavoidable to one degree or another with the mineral sunscreens) but this one doesn't seem bad to me and it should sink in after some minutes, no matter what your mileage or skin tone may be. Tropic Like It's Hot is Piña Colada I think? 🍍 Is very dominant. Coco Loco is coconut with something fruity in it that I can't identify. 🍍 again? More 🥥 than Tropic. Maybe this is the Piña Colada, and Tropic is just pineapple? Beaches & Cream I expected to have 🍑, but I don't detect any. It smells more like a sweet, warm, creamy natural oil sunscreen/tanning lotion. Still getting a lot of 🥥. Touch of chocolate maybe? Some darker note there underneath. Very beachy and pleasant. Also tastes much better than lotion 😉. Overall these seem like they'll be perfect. AI Rufus claims the item description says these are waterproof up to 80 minutes, which was the only thing holding me back. Taking his word for now because I didn't personally see that anywhere on the packaging or descriptions. If it turns out to be one that comes off in sweating, rain or full water immersion, I'll have to look at an alternative, like Headhunter. I feel like the wax in these should be pretty waterproof though too, logically... Also might need need to switch to a higher mineral SPF for summer thoughsummer outdoor sun activities and full water immersion.

Great SPF lip balm!
I’m a huge fan of all Burt’s Bees products and these are no exception. I’ve purchased several other brands of spf lip balm and they’ve all left a disgusting spf taste in my mouth if I accidentally lick my lips or drink something while wearing. These don’t have that gross taste. They do leave a slight white cast if you apply too much but that isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Great product and now with spf 30
Already like the Burt's Bees product, but this is great for the sunny days. I keep one in the truck

Fantastic! Apply lip balm first.
These are fantastic, mineral-based sunscreen lip balms without any of the endocrine-disrupters in clear, or nano sunblock. (I do NOT want any of those on my skin, let alone near my mouth.) I love both colors, and am particularly impressed by their staying power. I snack and drink tea all day, and this lasts 6-8 hours without the need to reapply. That said, they aren't very moisurizing (except for the after sun balm, which is silky, with a dreamy aloe scent). I think the density of the blend is what makes it so long lasting. I apply a small amount of moisturizing lip balm before applying the tinted sunblock, and it still lasts a long time, and seals in the moisture below. Normally I would need to reapply lip balm several times a day to keep my lips moisturized, but with the sunblock locking the emollient-rich lip balm in, I only need to reapply once or maybe twice in a full day.

Not like normal Burt's Bees Lip Balms
First off, let me say that I LOVE Burt's Bees. I buy it in bulk because I have it in every room, my car and in my purse at all times. I found these and thought that I'd try them out, because they have awesome flavor names and they intrigued me. Plus, they have sunscreen, which is always an added bonus. They took some time to arrive, but when they got here, I immediately opened them and tried the Coco Loco flavor. It smells heavenly and I put it on my lips only to realize that it's NOT like any other Burt's Bees lip balm I've used. It's thick, and grainy - not smooth and rich like the other balms. I suppose that it's the sunscreen in it, but I don't care for the feeling at all. I haven't tried the two other flavors, but am anticipating them being very much the same. Also, I can't just put this on like lip balm and walk out of the house to public places, because I look like a corpse.... the sunscreen part makes my lips turn a pale white, like if you used zinc oxide on them. If you're cool with that look, these are right up your alley!
