As someone with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and a lot of hand/finger pain, I can’t hold books up to my face anymore to read, but I also have neck pain so I can’t crane my neck to look down at a book. Additionally, I’m most comfortable on the couch or my recliner (so book holders that sit on a table or desk are not the best fit for me). This tool is PERFECT. I use it every day now! It works with small books, large heavy hardcover books, you name it!You can adjust it to so many angles that it works if I’m reclined, or sitting straight up. The cushion part on my lap is comfortable and doesn’t budge, the little metal peices hold even my biggest books in place. It’s not too big or too small- and if you lay it flat (along with the little shelf that holds the book) you can use a laptop on it as well.The quality is really great- nice and sturdy, looks and feels nice. Only regret is not purchasing this sooner!

I think this would make an excellent gift for anyone who reads/studies books. The quality is impeccable. It’s is constructed of high quality wood and other materials. The cushion is very comfortable and practical for use just about anywhere. It has a convenient carrying handle and an awesome storage feature that lets you store your book (depending on how small it is), pens, notebooks, highlighters or anything else you may need. This holds books of many sizes in place very well. The reading angle can be adjusted to suit many preferences. There is even a slot for a highlighter or pencil so maybe even good for someone who is journaling by hand. I use it to study. I purchased it for myself and have used it consistently without issue ever since.

Wow excellent quality!! This is a gorgeous lap desk. Truly built for reading and also serious study. It’s obvious how much care went into creating this desk it’s beautiful and so well made!! I’m thrilled with my purchase!!The cushion is sturdy and a soft, lovely flannel. The wood is beautiful and it closes with an excellent strong magnet so it’s safe and portable!! It’s lightweight which is a huge plus! I love the little gift of the wooden drink coaster as well just so sweet!!It works so well even holding large books!! I’m so happy!!Thank you it’s awesome!!!

Very well constructed and solid materials. I use it for a very heavy Bible, making it easy to read, turn pages, and keep my place without having to hold it (arthritis.)

Nice to use when laying on coach and using laptop. We’ve also used this to sit our dinner plate on while eating. Having the barrier on the one side that prevents sliding off is great. Sometimes it’s difficult to get the lid open though. But love having a place to store pens!

I needed help for when I was reading physical books since my tendinitis was getting bad. I was hesitant to buy this initially due to the price but it has everything I wanted (hardly any others did) and I’m so very happy that I did! It is SO well made, shockingly so - I think I was expecting China quality instead of this sturdy piece. The colors are even better than they look in the picture. I love the tilt (with adjustable slanting), bottom book rest with page clippers, the storage compartment and the firm cushion with comfortable fabric on the bottom. It all works effortlessly and seems very sturdy. I haven’t been this impressed with an Amazon purchase in a while. Would highly recommend, it is worth the price!

Very functional and comfortable on my lap for reading. My Bible sits well in an angle and the prongs holds the page securely. The storage underneath holds my pens, pencils and highlighters well. I just love it!! Made well. The only thing is the handle is not very well made to carry if you place a book underneath the storage area. May tear off the handle because of weight

This thing is made so well. Wood is solid. Cushion is comfy. Magnet is super strong. So strong I have to really pull hard to get it open. Wires to hold books open are great. Strong enough but flexible enough. Edges of the wood are smooth and round. I bought it to read books and use my phone with on the recliner as my hands and wrists were getting fatigued and sore at the angle I lay. Works amazing. Has a nice drawer space under the desktop to store things. Holds my 8.5x11” hardcover journal inside. Also works great for an iPad and as a writing desk. I journal on it as a desk while sitting. I love this thing!
