Design are really beautiful
Great design and quality, worth the money, over all this dirk is very nice, beat the ever loving snot out of it, and it held up beautifully. Visually its a beautiful Specimen. The leather sheath is perfect, other then that it does its job. Over all Its great piece of art I would recommend this dirk.

Not perfect....
For $100 I'd expect a short/longsword to arrive in excellent condition. Mine is not. There are scratched and divots thru out the handguard. The blade is not smooth. There are variances in thickness thru the blade which can be seen by the eye and felt by hand. So I deducted a star for each. I see no justified complaint on length it is clearly stated. The overall length is exactly 22". On the short end of a longsword, but clearly stated. The sheath is very nice and seems well made and looks fabulous. The blade is sharp! The handle is solid, doesn't rattle or feel flimsy. Sword has plenty of weight to it. If your a collector looking for a perfect piece of art, this has its flaws. If your planning on carrying this and using it and abusing it, it may be in your interest.

My Favorite Viking Sword!
I will admit that I own a LOT of Viking swords--and this one if by far my favorite! As soon as I received the sword, I put it through a series of very challenging tests in order to evaluate its abilities. As you can see from the attached photograph, it passed the "slice a ham and cheese sandwich" test with flying colors! Next I put it through the letter-opener test and I was shocked at how well it was able to open a newly received Christmas card that I got from an old friend. My final test will be using it to spread butter on toast but I am going to give the sword a rest for a few days before putting it through more tests. In summary, this is a very handsome and useful sword. But please be warned--it is not a toy...it is very sharp and could do some real damage if not handled properly.
