GSS Designs Reusable Tile Stencils - 12x12Inch Large Floor Stencils for Painting Concrete, Patio and Walls

I was a little nervous because it was my first time doing this, but I’ve always wanted my fireplace to have tile around it. This was a very inexpensive way of changing the look of my fireplace. I didn’t use the stencil to its full capacity because I was afraid to commit, but as you can see here is the before and after.

Used this stencil for my front porch concrete floor. It worked well. I only used 1 for the whole project. After doing each one, I would rub the underside of the stencil on some flat paper towels in between each attempt to get the small amounts of wet paint off the bottom. This helped to avoid any excess paint getting on places I didn’t want when I went to do the next block/area. Kinda expensive for a single piece of plastic, hence why I attempted to use only one. But I am pleased. Would recommend. / ALSO - from tip to tip it’s 12x12…… But, the actual design itself size is smaller than that. You must take away the size of the outer rim… I’d guess the actual design is a 11.5x11.5 (I’m guessing the rims are 1/4”). So do keep that in mind.

Perfect except... the edges are too skinny! When using a roller on the outer most parts of the stencil, there is no room to paint a lil' over; there is no border. I made my own border w painter's tape so I could roll to the outer most parts of the stencil. FOUR stars because of that.

Very easy to use, just tape it down and paint. After it’s mostly dry move on to next one
