I love this bowl. It makes the most fantastic ice crème in 15-22 minutes. I have made vanilla, rocky road, maple walnut, and butter pecan and everyone of them has been a major hit with my family. The only reason I deducted a half a point is because I think the connecting piece could be designed a little better. It does not stick to the top till you put the bowl lift in the up position. (I have a bowl lift 6qt pro). My mixer is an older one so maybe the newer ones stay attached easier. This does not stay attached once you put the bowl lift down. It takes 2 hands (or two people) to keep the attached part in place till the bowl is lifted. Once you get the hang of it, it is fairly easy. Works GREAT, once it is together. The recipes I have made have filled the bowl to the brim. It is a generous bowl.

I was really excited to use this product. The first time I used it, it did exactly what it was supposed to do. The second time, it was ok, but not like the first, so I figured it must have been my recipe, or maybe I overchurned. This last time, I went to pull it out of the freezer and noticed a big frozen blue puddle underneath it. Now, I have kids, so my first thought was one of them must have done something weird (iykyk), and didn't really think anything of it, so I continued on. About 20 minutes into the churn, I noticed it's going kind of the same thing as the last time where it's not really setting. I stop it and take the bowl out, and notice more blue dropping from the bottom, and that's when I realize there's a huge crack in it at the bottom, and the blue stuff i saw must be the antifreeze or whatever it is they put in there to make it cold. In less than 1 year I've used it 3 times, and now it's unusable. I had to throw away the ice cream, such a waste. I do not recommend this product at all.

Chose this over the actual kitchen aid because of price. This makes ice cream perfectly. Such a good buy. I can’t compare it to the actual KA but it takes about 35-40 mins to make soft serve. After freezing it’s even better! Won’t be paying $9 for a pint ever again.

Update: seller saw my review and has offered a full refund. This makes me happy!2 uses, handled very gently. Hand washed only. I took it out of the freezer for it’s 3rd use in 2 months and I saw blue drips in the freezer.I went ahead and used it but as it thawed, blue liquid leaked out the bottom.This is an item that should have lasted for years and only lasted 2 months. Which is one month past the return policy.As an ice cream maker, it was wonderful. Perfectly creamy and delicious ice cream in 30 minutes or less.

The product worked great until it started leaking the the blue juice all over my freezer. It was well maintained and never dropped or handled roughly. I am dissapointed it failed so soon, we only used it about 6 times. I would like a replacement.

Fits my mixer perfectly. Makes wonderful ice cream and sorbets. I like being in complete control of my ingredients, and the varieties that can be made are endless. So far my favorites are grapefruit sorbet and vanilla ice cream with a swirl of chocolate syrup added at the end of the churning.

Update: other customers have spoken about great customer service, but I have not heard a thing from the seller with any attempts to make this right. Very disappointed! Don’t waste your moneyI purchased this item in February 20th (2024), and it is now leaking blue liquid on April 8th. I have used this ice cream maker bowl approximately a handful of times and have always followed the directions and handled the item with care.I really really loved this item until this point, and I am extremely disappointed by the failure of this product. This item was not cheap and we are now 2.5 weeks past the return date.I wish I had listened to the other reviews from people who had this same issue, but I was hoping that those were due to mishandling or were just a fluke. I am hoping that the company will offer some sort of solution to make this right! We are some very bummed out ice cream lovers.
