Works well.Has rough interior surface to help grip material for pedstal to crush.It's smaller than I thought. My fault for not paying attention to the specs. So this turned out to be good and bad.Good in that my hand cups the entire mortal. I've turned the mortar at times because it was more comfortable. Bad in that I have to grind a small amount at a time.My use was to powder cut dried peppers after they've been through a coffee grinder. I was trying for flour like consistency (I had unrealistic expectations) but have gotten to salt like consistency which is close enough.

This is a fraudulent bait and switch, the product clearly shows multiple pestles and one mortar.but ONLY 1 MORTAR WAS DELIVERED!PLEASE SEND ME THE OTHER MORTARS AND DISCONTINUE OFFERING THIS ITEMit deserve negative stars

Perfect size, easy to use for herbs, especially saffron. To get every drop of flavoring after grinding items, just add a teaspoon of water or less, add to sauces etc.

Smaller than I thought

Easy to use, perfect size for spice crushing. Makes cooking much more enjoyable than smashing spices with hammer and bag. I’ve had these for years, lost them in the move, replaced with ease by ordering on Amazon. Fast and efficient replacement. Lovely set.

Picture is deceiving, looks like set of different sizes but you get the smallest size which broke within few weeks. Not robust enough for crushing nuts.

It's smaller than i thought it would be but it work perfect. And ease to clean. It definitely worth buying
