Merrell Men's All Out Terra Ice Waterproof Trail Running Shoe

These are decent shoes for the winter trails. I just tried mine out today. One four mile run and the studs showed some wear. And like another review stated, One stud is at an angle already. The trail was only snow and ice, no concrete. They do keep your feet warm and dry! I love that about them. I did go bigger on the size and I'm glad I did. It did take a good 1/2 hr for them to start breaking in. I'm hoping that if the studs come out that I will be able to put screws in them. I might just add a couple more screws, one in the ball for better up hill traction. And one in the heel for going down. We have a large amount of hills here, so this might help. I might buy them again.

As couple of reviewers mentioned, a stud bent as soon as I tried them. But it's only cosmetic. And other studs survived a rocky climb up to 16k feet. Great waterproof quality, kept my feet warm( cold seeps in when there's snow on your boots tho)Some places the thread is flaying, but it still seems sturdy and hopefully survives more treks.note: don't expect the studs to be useful for technical climbs tho. Obviously. They are fine in mud and snow.

I was asked if the spikes are removable, and I don't think they are. I'm sure they could be removed by someone, with a special tool, but it doesn't look like they are intended for that.I will say, if you live in a snowy, icy, slippery climate these shoes are awesome! I've been running in them about half a dozen times now and really like them. You will want to avoid dry pavement if possible, so you may find yourself seeking off-sidewalk or -trail running. I use them in conjunction with my regular running shoes, when conditions aren't as slippery. I highly recommend them for the right conditions.

Love these shoes! The insoles are very thick to mask the feeling of the studs underneath and they work! I tried to replace them with superfeet to get more arch support but then I could feel the studs. For traction, these things work amazing! Ran through Minnesota winter with these on ice and in snow. Totally warm enough for the cold run days, excellent traction, comfortable too!

I'm a bit disappointed that one of the tungsten spikes misaligned permanently during the first 6-miles of the shoe life on a well groomed and flat trail. It does have its advantage of gripping on hard-packed snow and ice.

Great shoes but I couldn't handle the metal spikes on the bottom. Too nosiy.

Just used these today. It's April and these are best for the winter, but they were still good.

Order a half-size larger. Didn't keep because of this.

I love the running shoes BUT I cant wear it because it is toooooooo nosey due to the iron nails.other than that its lovelyso if it does not bother you that the noise of your steps can be heard from far away go for it

toller Schuh, gut verarbeitet, Gummisohle sehr profiliert und rutschhemmend, hinzu kommen die Spikes, auf die ich persönlich verzichten könnte.Ohne Spikes wäre der Schuh für mich auch noch gut, z.B. auf dem Tretrolle,r wo ich gute Traktion an der Sohle brauchen, bei diesem Schuh rutsch da nichts, auch nicht auf nassem Asphalt.Laufen aus Asphalt ist weniger seine Disziplin, aber dafür habe ich auch andere Schuhe, mag ihn daher nur auf Feldwegen und Offroad laufen. Man kann Asphalt mit ihm laufen, den Spikes wird vermutlich irgendwann schaden, die Abnutzung fördern, zudem greift damit die Sohle zu stark am Asphalt, besonders wenn dieser grob ist, die Spikes sich damit verzahnen.Wasserdicht ist der Schuh auch, so habe ich mir das vorgestellt, bin sehr zufrieden, nasse Feld- und Waldwege, Schnee und Eis, da fühlt sich der Schuh wohl und ist zweckdienlich.Hinsichtlich der Größe hielt ich mich an die Empfehlung, man sollte ihn 1,1,5 Nummern größer nehmen, dan'n passt er gut, jedenfalls bei mir. Für eine normale 43 habe ich mir 44,5 bestellt. Der Leisten ist etwas schmal, im Vorderfußbereich könnte der Schuh minimal breiter sein, aber es geht auch so recht gut, insbesondere für Offroad muss der Schuh ja auch gut sitzen.

La zapatilla hace honor a la casa y tiene unos acabados perfectos, muy robusta y sensación de seguridad.Al tener clavitos metalicos el grip o agarre es un extra y este se percibe en todos los terrenos quizás de más para corredores con menos potencia pueden sentirse algo frenados en cada pisada ya que la zapatilla se ancla al suelo. Desde luego colmará la satisfacción de los corredores más tecnicos y fuertes.En mi opinión perosonal por mi forma física, podría prescindir de ese extra ya que la goma se basta para su función y penaliza el rodaje en asfalto por el ruido metálico.

Muy buenas pero no son todo terreno... son para correr sobre terrenos helados o deslizantes... Para cross sobre césped, barro o hielo seguro que van muy bien, pero sobre asfalto, cemento o piedra, no son buenas. TIENE TACOS METÁLICOS...
