Q: Will it trigger if the intruder breaks the window?

Not unless the sensor happens to fall off during the break in. It's not intended to detect breaking sound.

Q: how do you get the cover off?

Either with finger nail or a small flat screwdriver. It comes off very easy. I love this switch. Already there are three in my townhouse. After changing the battery, it starts working with no set up needed.

Q: Can you set timer on these devices to not activate? Ex: if use on window, there are times in the days i would like to leave the window opens wo alarm

So far I have not had an actual alarm go off at any point. It does however keep track of when the door is opened and closed I am sure that if you leave it open and an alarm goes off it will be able to be desmised by your phone.
