X-Sense Indoor Wi-Fi Thermometer Hygrometer, 3 Sensors & Base Station

Very accurate, small, easy to use. I use X-sense devices to monitor humidity in the basement and temperatures throughout the house. I also have water sensors on my basement floor to alert me to extremely rare but incredibly damaging leaks. The sensors in refrigerator and freezer compartments give me confidence when I'm away from home when we have power outages. One also alerts me when the temperature edges up in an upstairs under counter refrigerator so I know to defrost it. Battery life is excellent on these devices too.

Wow - I'm very impressed with this X-Sense Wi-Fi Indoor Smart Hygrometer Thermometer. I bought this to enable me to monitor remotely the temperature inside my lake cabin during the winter months when I am away. Sometimes the heating system goes out, and now I can have peace of mind that I am notified if/when the temperature in the cabin reaches levels near freezing. The set up of this system is made very easy, thanks to the great instruction booklet (with Q-codes) and the great app that you load onto your cell phone. Total setup time for me was about 3 minutes. Since setup, the system has worked flawlessly - no dropped internet router connections, no dropped sensor connections, etc. The system comes with everything needed - cable, AC power adapter, batteries (for the sensors), etc. For the price, this is an incredible value - especially because it comes with 3 sensors. Also, the system is apparently expandable with other types of sensors. Also - I like that this system has a separate base station which is A/C powered, which helps the batteries in the sensors last longer. It might be nice if the base station had an LCD display....but it's not really needed because the phone app is easy to launch and it displays all the info. Two thumbs up!

Already part of the Xsense ecosystem with their smoke detectors. Added these sensors to help monitor elderly relatives homes. Wanted to see if there was any issue with cold or during the summer heat. Specifically as people age (a couple of them well into their 90s) people lose the ability to remember things like the down arrow on the thermostat makes it colder. And they get confused especially in the summer wanting to turn the AC "down". And the house ends up freezing because they get confused. Or over 80 degrees because thats living with an old person trying to remain independent. I've set temp range alarms and just this week in hot as heck weather got an alert from one senior's home. Helped me get there earlier than I otherwise would have on what was an outlier of a confusing day for a mostly independent senior. I know it's not a precision instrument and dont expect it to be. But it's pretty darn accurate and responsive. Easy to set up. The app works great. Ended up setting up systems in 3 houses in total after trying the first one out.

I really like this device. I use it to monitor temperature and humidity in the different rooms in my house. I also have several of the water leak detectors. The app is very easy to use and the system has been everything that I need so far. Highly recommended if you want to keep track of these things in your house. I also thought the price point was excellent.

I opted for this model because the hub was included. Setup of these were pretty easy, as was linking with Alexa. The app does notify with a red alarm sign on my phone, although sometimes the app AND the hub do not chime. I just installed it so maybe its an operator issue and I have something set incorrectly. I like the fact that you can use different sounds (on the hub) for each device. I'm using them to notify me if my garage refrigerator/freezer changes temperature, as we have not quite closed the door a time or two. Because it came with 3 devices, I also set up one for my kitchen freezer - the plan was to indicate exactly which device is alarming. Spending $40 for this setup should save me $100's in the cost of food. Alexa synced with each of the devices right off the bat, however when checking her display, she shows only the humidity and not the temps. This isn't a deal breaker, the app itself has all the details. The reviews said you can ask Alexa the temperature of one of the devices and not only does that not work, she doesn't have any idea what I am talking about when I ask her the humidity of the device. All in all, I think I can live with that as long as they continue to work as designed.

I received this product promptly installed the batteries in the sensors which are two AAA batteries for each sensor and I have three sensors then I connected what's called the hub and turned on Bluetooth in my cell phone and the setup to get The hub on the Wi-Fi was very easy keep in mind you'll want to be close to the hub with your cell phone when you do this and you need decent Wi-Fi reception at the location as well and it only supports 2G Wi-Fi not 5G... But overall Tai setup was straightforward for me as a technical person. Perhaps some others will struggle a bit, but I think everyone should be able to figure it out regardless of their technical abilities. I then downloaded the app and immediately started being able to actively monitor the temperature in each one of my three freezers once I put the sensors in each freezer. It also lets me set set. The alarms for both high temperature and low temperature bought based on the warnings it seems CHAAT the lowest range that it recommends for an alarm to be set is -4° f. So depending on your application that might be a concern, but the warning basically just says it may not function and could hurt the device or run the batteries down faster. So it's not exactly clear why the limitation. But for a freezer, the optimal storage temperature is 0° f. So minus 4° f seems like unacceptable low alarm trigger. And I set my high alarm on all three sensors to be 14° f which should give me enough time to react in the event that my freezer fails. Again, overall I am ecstatic with this purchase and I will update it if I end up having any problems over time. One last thing is the app allows for calibration of the sensors in case some of them need calibrated which is fantastic, but a feature that I haven't yet to use but probably will. So as far as this being on day one installation day, I can absolutely recommend this product, but I'm not sure how it will perform over time and will update this review if I run into any problems whatsoever in the future.

I grow orchids in central Florida. Just got a greenhouse because my collection grew a little more than we thought. What’s one more orchid? If you’re into plants, you understand. Temperature and humidity in the greenhouse need to be monitored. I have an analog setup in there, but can’t be there all the time obviously. This hygrometer helps me monitor remotely. Because there are 3 sensors, I can check the different growing locations in the lanai and the greenhouse separately with just one gateway, all in one app. It’s important for me to know if it gets too cold in the lanai or too hot in the greenhouse. The orchids may not necessarily be a lucrative investment, but at least now I will no longer kill them due to temperature or disease caused by the wrong humidity. So far, I have found the temperature to be accurate. I wasn’t able to measure humidity before this hygrometer and at least now I know when to intervene on time. In all, this is exactly what I was looking for and it performs well for my needs. All this for a good price, too. If you find yourself needing a hygrometer with more than one sensor, I fully recommend this for home use. I cannot speak to commercial applications.

I wanted to use this in my remote garage, connecting to its WiFi and letting me know, via the app on my phone, if the temp. rose too high or it got too damp. . I downloaded the X-Sense app and started to set the system up. I did not see anywhere where you could set a temp. for the alarm to sound. The app didn't have any graphs for temp. or hygrometer as the product photos show. The app only seemed to be for setting up an account and getting the sensors to pair with the base. Nothing else. . The app did suggest two subscription plans, which had a free trial period. One was local and the other would actually call the local emergency services. I thought maybe once the plan was set up the functionality would be made available. I chose the simple, local $19.99 annual plan and entered my CC details. There was no free trial given! Then the app asked for the product model. The drop-down menu kept giving me a pop-up that indicated only certain products work with the Smart AI plan, and it looked like this wasn't one of them! Tried several times and got the same brick wall. I gave up and immediately returned the product and got my refund from Amazon ion a couple days! The app was nothing like the Amazon description shows. I've no idea what these sensors are supposed to do. . I then saw that the credit card had been billed, even though I had been unable to complete the plan setup. An email confirmed my plan would end in a year, even though it noted the plan had been canceled. The app, at the time, indicated I had not set up the plan because I could not complete the process. It should not have charged me. . I contacted the company and did get a response to the effect this product was not supported by the Smart AI plans! They said because of this they would refund my $19.99. Fortunately, they did the next day. . I do not recommend this product or this company at all. I'm an engineer and can figure literally anything out. Not so here. I've no idea how others gave positive reviews

Al inicio todo bien, los sensores y su base se conectaron perfectamente entre sí y con la app. Pero ahora, en menos de un año, la base está fallando, se desconecta y reconecta al WiFi múltiples veces al día, genera muchas notificaciones y alarmas, cada día más, y no es problema del WiFi. Es una lástima, cumplía bien pero no es duradero.

We have it monitoring 3 commercial greenhouses for cold temperatures. Was very pleased that they worked as well as they did.

There is no way to set the device up in the United Kingdom - the app repeatedly throws up the following error message: "Your device does not comply with the regulations of wireless communications in your country. Please use a device that complies, or contact our support team for further information." Given this, I'm not sure why 'United Kingdom' even exists as a Region in the app architecture.
