I put this in my greenhouse and it is an app on my phone so I can see the temperature inside the greenhouse whenever I like. It shows the humidity also. The reading is quite accurate and it's very functional. The Bluetooth connection is good the only thing is it's pretty slow to read the temperature. I don't know about the battery life yet because it's still working and I've had it for 6 months.

Im trying to hatch a few peafowl eggs, which are notoriously delicate and therefore quite challenging to hatch in an incubator and so i wanted to have a secondary reading of the temperature and humidity because of how detrimental the difference of a single degree or the slightest range of RH can be for peafowl eggs.I tested the govee wifi thermometer against two other thermometers, one digital and the other digital/bluetooth, and everything more or less checked out.Set up was quick, even more so because i already had the "govee home" app downloaded. Interface is straightforward and easy.I really appreciate being able to set a temperature and a humidity range and be alerted if the device reads outside that range but my favorite part is all the collected data. This way i can note down the average temperature and RH by the hour and day, without actually having to sit there and watch the incubator all day; whether this egg incubation fails or succeeds, these notes will eventually be my guide for future incubations.Overall a great device to have for anything temperature and/or humid sensitive.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I use it in the car, when the dogs are in there for a SHORT time with the AC on. Just in case the AC goes off for ANY reason .

Seems to work as advertised

I am using 6 of these in our house and another dozen at our office. The simplicity of setup and ability to work anywhere there is WiFi is just fantastic. The API interface has been wonderful for allowing us to collect data and send notifications based on our own needs. Some basic programming is required for setting up the API access. My only real complaint is that the Phone App does not show the MAC Address. All the documentation says it should show this, but it does not as of 02/20/2025. Very frustrating for setting up RADIUS access.

The wifi access and settings of this thermometer are great! I used it to monitor a feral cat house and when we needed to take action with a stray kitty! We placed a heater in there and we never had a problem!

This device worked great for the first winter after purchasing. I use it in my well house to warn me if the temperature drops during winter months. I changed the batteries this winter, it connected to my phone, but never warned me about my well house freezing. I asked customer service to help as I noticed no matter what I tried, the device would say it connected to wifi successfully, but in actuality it would tell me it is not connected as soon as it was out of range from my phone for Bluetooth. Customer service will not help because it is not under warranty. They won’t even suggest things to try.This is an awesome device, just hope you don’t ever need to ask customer service for help.

This has allowed me to map how the heat functions in my room. I have a radiator that is powered by by a very old boiler in my room and the graph in the app has helped me see that the temp fluctuates as much as 10 degrees. The graph also allows me to see if the heat is in a heating cycle or a cooling cycle and helps me predict if I need to take measures to cool my room down before I go to bed at night. Overall, I feel like I have a much better feel for how the heating system functions due to the graphs in the app. It was also easy to set up.
