Ridiculous
The RCA phono plugs are so tight that to get them into standard phono sockets you not only need really strong fingers, but must use a screwing motion to overcome the sheer amount of friction. At same time the screwing motion causes the outer shell of the phono plug to start going round on its moorings. Hopeless, and not a one-off: I also bought a Cable Matters 2xRCA to 2xXLR female at the same time. Same problem, plus wound up damaging the phono sockets on my amp.
