Door shoes help block the transfer of noise, light, dirt, moisture, or air through the gap between the bottom of a door and its threshold. Shoes are attached along the width of the door or fastened to the lower edge of the door. They include weather stripping, an insert, or a flange that reaches from the underside of the door to the threshold, closing the gap. Some door shoes include a kick plate, which helps protect the lower portion of a door from damage.

Painted finish, not anodized
This is a nice product, but the finish is painted, not anodized. Pemko makes it both ways, so the listing should be updated to make this clear.
