These are 4”x4” metal plates. Listing description states these are electrical box plates. I did not use these for that purpose. I needed a metal plate to protect a portion of my wooden gate. My gate is just wide enough for a lawn mower to pass through. Sometimes, the mower doesn’t quick make the opening and hits that part of the gate. The wood gets damaged when the corner of the mower hits. I attached two of these metal plates on that area and it does the job of protecting the wood on the gate from anymore damage. The metal plates have two holes each, which makes it easy to attach with nails or thumbtacks. I am sure these work well for the original purpose described.
