Amazing quality for a fair price.
This is my new favorite watch. The quality is great, it keeps time well, and the 40mm size is perfect. I love the look of an automatic movement, too. I generally wear a watch on my right wrist (although I’m not a lefty), so the crown on the left is a plus. The black face make it easy to read the time, and the luminous hands stay fairly well lit through the night, making it easy to read in the dark.

Nice looking, good value watch with useful GMT complication
I have an interest in watches but I'm not a collector; I just buy ones that I find interesting. This Pagani Design PD-1662 I bought because I wanted to try an inexpensive GMT movement. I have a Swiss GMT watch that is in need of service and I'm trying to avoid going out at the moment. I was hoping that there would be an inexpensive GMT automatic with original design on Amazon but most were homages or outright copies of the R_l_x GMT-M_st_r II. I settled on this because reviews for Pagani Design watches were mostly positive and this was available in a color combination (two-tone with brown sun-ray/sunburst dial) that R_l_x doesn't actually produce at the moment so this is definitely more a homage than a simple copy. The GMT movement in this watch works fine to be able to show three time zones. The 24-hour GMT hand can be set independently of the hour and minute hand setting, and the rotating bezel serves to allow a third time zone when needed. The movement however is not set in the same manner as so-called "true GMT" watches. Those generally allow the 12-hour hand to be set independently of the minute and 24-hour hand, and ideally the 12-hour hand would be a "jumping" when setting so that changing hours can be done without affecting the running minutes and seconds. That type of GMT movement is well suited to travelers that frequently hop time-zones. The GMT movement in this Pagani Design watch is better suited for non-travellers who need to track time in different time-zones such as office workers who have colleagues/clients in other places or perhaps those who have family/friends elsewhere that they like to keep in touch with. The 24-hour hand can also be kept in the same time-zone as the hour hand and this can simply serve as a day/night indicator. The watch looks very good; much better in person than in pictures. It is a close homage to the GMT-M_st_r II but, like I wrote above, with a dial color that R_l_x doesn't currently use for the model. And it is very well built and finished. The dial and case are very nicely finished; the bracelet not quite as good but not bad for the price. It doesn't feel like a $1000+ watch of course but could be good enough for even a $300-$500 watch except here are some things that could use improving. First is the rose-gold colored plating on centerlinks of the bracelet. While the top and bottom of the bracelet look good, the finishing between the links is either incomplete or easily worn off. This isn't obvious when the watch is worn but can be seen if you fold the bracelet. The other thing is the finishing of the movement itself. The rotor is decorated and signed well enough for the price but the rest of the movement is rather plain. Of course, given the price this watch sells for, there already is exceptional value here. With regards to use, the bezel action is very good. Rotation is easy but the clicks inspire confidence. The triangle marker at the 24 hour position aligns well with the minute markers on the dial and there is minimal backplay. The crown action is decent but not as good as the bezel. The screw down action has some grittiness to it, perhaps some silicone grease on the gaskets would help; but it does appear to provide water resistant protection. This is not definitive though as I have yet to take it swimming. With the crown unscrewed it is in the winding position. Winding action is easy if not quite as smooth as a Japanese or Swiss movement, but the resistance is adequate to let you know it's winding and you can tell when you've reached full wind. The winding direction is clockwise (upwards with the thumb) as it is in most watches. There are two pull-out positions for the crown. The first is for setting the the quick-set date in one direction setting the 24-hour hand in the other direction. The second pull-out position is for setting the time with the hour and minute hands. In this position the 24-hour hand will move to keep in correct syncronization with the hour hand (i.e. two complete rotations with the hour hand will give one full rotation with the 24-hour hand). Setting action in all positions yields adequate precision, however after setting the 24-hour hand (in the first pull-out position) it is best to slightly rotate the crown backwards. This will not immediately affect the quickset date but will disengage the 24-hour gears so that pulling or pushing the crown out of this position will keep the 24-hour hand from moving out of your chosen time-zone setting. This might seem fiddly to some users but remember this is one of the least expensive automatic GMT movements available in the market. GMT movements in Swiss or Japanese watches will often come with a $1000+ price tag. If you prefer absolute precision on the cheap then get a digital electronic watch. Some other things buyers should keep in mind: This being a budget watch with an automatic movement, each and every watch will have variances in rate/accuracy. For those new to mechanical/automatic watches, don't be alarmed, this is normal. Please bear in mind that even an expensive Swiss watch can be chronometer certified even if it is slow by 1 minute every 15 days or running fast up to 1 minute every 10 days. But any decent watch movement can be adjusted by a good watchmaker to run with an acceptable rate. If you want quartz accuracy just get a quartz watch. If you are willing to risk it, have good eyesight and steady with your hands you can adjust the accuracy of this watch yourself using a cheap caseback opener and a wooden toothpick. A loupe/magnifier would help. My own watch was running slower than I wanted so I adjusted it myself with a wooden toothpick. It's rate is not yet ideal but is now running at an acceptable rate. I will probably give it another tweak in the future and I'm confident it can run with very good accuracy.I wouldn't mind buying one again if I needed/wanted another inexpensive automatic GMT watch in the future. If Pagani Design were to come out with a more original design that I also liked the look of, then I'd be even more likely to just get it to replace this one. In the meantime this seems to be a fine beater watch that has the added utility of a GMT movement.

Best mechanical watch I've owned
I've had this watch a couple of months now. It keeps amazingly accurate time (I've reset it twice, only off a minute a month). It's beautiful and feels great on the wrist. This is no Rolex copy; I think it is every bit as good as a Rolex but priced more like a watch should be. The GMT function is useful if you travel or use GMT regularly (I do). It is very well made and everything lines up, unlike a lot of Chinese watches. This one is something to be proud of. It should last several lifetimes with regular cleanings.

The perfect GMT Homage watch at a fantastic price!
At first I was a bit skeptical based on the price. Upon receiving the Pagani GMY I couldn't believe the quality in the jubilee style bracelet with perfectly threaded screws instead of pin. keeps great time. All in all this watch is a terrific bargain for the price. A+

Watch doesn’t look like pictured item
I tried to get a replacement watch sent but the Manufacturer wouldn’t honor it. Beware of this brand. Watch came in pristine condition however very noisy movement and bezel doesn’t make clicks. Always having to adjust it. Looks are good, however, feels cheap! Stopped working and returning back to Amazon

Everything is great except it can't keep time...
I bought the black and grey. The watch looks great. The weight of the watch does not feel cheap. The dial rotation is nice and crisp. But the watch will not keep time FYI. So if you don't mind changing the time manually, when you wear it, it's all good. If it could keep time, it would be a fantastic deal and would deserve a 5-star review.

Exceeded expectations
Watched a ton of reviews on Facebook and most of them said for the money these are great watches. They weren’t wrong. I’ve had my Pagani 1662 for about a week and it definitely punches above its weight. But there are one or two cons that you’d expect from a bargain homage watch like this. Pros: 1. The finish on the watch is excellent from the numbers on the bezel to the markers on the face. 2. The jubilee bracelet is very comfortable and sits on the wrist nicely. 3. The screw pins make it easy to size the bracelet with the right screw driver. 4. The automatic movement is vey smooth and unless you really sit and watch the second hand there is very little jump from second to second. 5. Dimensions are very close to the stated dimensions of the GMT Master II making it a very accurate homage. 6. Many reviewers complained about the bezels function and back play but I was surprised when my bezel had zero back play and was actually a 120 click instead of a 60 click like most of the video reviews had. I’m guessing it’s something that Pagani listened to customers about and made the necessary changes. 7. GMT function seems to be accurate so far. Cons: 1. The cyclops over the date seems to be 2.5x magnification however it’s not very clear and the positioning seems a little off. 2. The finishes on this watch are great except for the date. There are a couple of numbers that seem to change font as you go through the month. Also, the edges of the numbers aren’t very clean which is very noticeable with the cyclops. 3. The screw down crown is a nice feature however it is a bit difficult to screw it back down after making adjustments. All in all I think the pros out weigh the cons and for the money I don’t think you can beat it.

Flashy but inaccurate time keepers 👀
I bought a few of these and they all have a few things in common. They're flashy but not very accurate time keepers.
