Do these need to be screwed into the door frame, or just adjust the length and then drop in the track ?

I need to be able to remove mine if I want to use my sliding door, so I definitely just drop it in. The bar seems like it will hold up under the repeated in and out and is quite strong, so I'm not worried about someone being able to force it.
