This handle fit a a standard rasp just fine but not a red tang. When I first tried it on the red tang it pops right off. I thought it may have to go on further to lock on. I put all 170 lbs on the rasp pushing down into the handle. As soon a I relieved pressure the rasp hopped into the air. How bazar I thought. Then I tried it on another rasp and it grabbed firm. I tried to pull it free, no luck. I was hoping to remove the handle to see the difference between the two rasps, but it will not release from this rasp now. Any body have a suggestion for a handle for a red tang rasp?

This is a comfortable handle but won’t stay on my rasp, despite all of my attempts to tighten it on.

This handle will be a waste of time & money. Get the wooden handle that SCREWS & LOCKS on because this crap is going to fall off your rasp over & over again. Too bad I didn't try it early enough to return it. Wasted my money!! No farrier would choose this!

Purchased this handle new with a separate rasp and it fit the rasp like a glove. No slippage and good grip during our initial use trimming our miniature horse's hooves.

Falls off immediately. Don’t bother with this.
