These were bought to provide additional options when working in my studio.I’ve been a photographer for many years, like my peers I have started seeing a shift recently from the use of strobes/flash to continuous lights. It makes it easier for hobbyists and people new to industry to see what they are going to get before they hit that shutter button!I purchased this pack as I liked the thought of having two lights, plus tripods, accessories, etc, all in one kit for taking out in location. The rest of the time they would remain in my studio but still having the portability of being able to be mains or battery powered which is a nice bonus.The lights work with the Neewer mobile app and provide full control of CCT, RGB, special effects, etc. This makes these lights very versatile and can save a lot of time trying to colour match or change settings on the device directly.The build quality is excellent, with a solid metal frame and sturdy tripods. This is a huge step up from the early Neewer equipment from yesteryear - they are really making marked improvements in the value and quality of their equipment!I tested these lights with smoke shoots both as special effects with backlit colour, and as side lights to add tints to the smoke itself. In both cases they worked flawlessly! I then tried them with some creative portraits and again they delivered a good result based on their size and price.I will say they lack power overall, so are best used in low light scenarios when not much ambient light (preferably none!) is present. This is to be expected based on their price point, but is just something to be aware of, these are not going to replace your studio lighting video lights / continuous lights by any respect (I would recommend at least a 120W continuous light for this, if not higher based on how much light you need to produce) but they provide easy, adjustable, compact, and versatile lighting for a low cost!Look at the size of the space you are intending on lighting, and the amount of ambient light in your surroundings. If you are lighting a smaller space, looking for special effects with adding a splash of colour to a scene, or want to add colour to a home studio or streaming / youtube setup then these are great, and the Neewer RGB tubes would also work well. If however you’re wanting to light a larger area, or you need to work in an environment where it is less easy to control the light, then I’d recommend a higher power alternative in the 120w, 300w, and 500w range as these are still widely available with full RGB capabilities and not too much higher in cost such as the Neewer CB300C, or more expensive studio brands depending on your requirements!

Very pricey.. but they are very good.Upgraded my very cheap setup as i photograph items for Ebay. Always struggled with getting the right lighting, these are decent but i still feel i need more lighting.Sturdy, and easy to control - I would recommend buying battery packs (havent done so yet but will do)

I was looking for lights for location interviews (a fancy way of saying videos of people talking in their own homes, etc). My budget wasn’t great and I’d come down to these or a single COB light with an umbrella and a reflector. I reckoned two RGB panel lights would give me more lighting options (even if I needed just one most of the time), so these are what I got. No regrets so far. I’ll update this review once I’ve used them more…So far:Pros: mains power or battery (just one NP-F970 per light for shorter recordings, two for longer work); app control of light if needed; barn doors for cutting light spill; larger source and less need for an extra diffuser; lights and stands pack into single bag.Cons: the app doesn’t yet have the best UI; the supplied bag could be better (poor shape and limited padding - I needed to add padding, and to keep the stands in their boxes, to make it useable for me).

Great value for money for what you receive, lights, tripods, power adapter and complete in holdell so very portable, looks very good quality and with the app make them easy to use, great array of colours and gives you near sunlight brightness, and did I mention you get a pair and you can run them on battery packs sold separately

I bought some very similar to this about 3 years ago. Been excellent except for the caseing aroud the light cracking. I do not use them everyday, in fact rarely but both units have cracked where the light is mounted on the bracket. This means it cant be tightened. I have repaired satisfactroily with epoxy resin (lots of it!) but it is definitely a flaw in the design. The lights temselves work really well on battery or mains power.

I have just received the delivery. I was too excited to open and use it on this weekend . First impression , the light itself seems to be well built but OMG the stands supplied with the lights are a joke, too weak and flimsy. There is No way that these stands will hold these lights with two big batteries attached to the lights . I need to use them on events on a dance floor for video and pictures. And I can imagine these will be on the floor within minutes with supplied Cheap and poor quality stands. I am really really disappointed . Unfortunately I will have to send them back. Come on Neewer please behave and supply a decent pair of stands with the lights . You are charging lots of money for this . ☹️☹️Update- After doing a little bit of research I just purchased it again. This time I opened it all ,set up and used it . Now I can say more about it.First of all the light itself is good , although instructions came with the lights are very basic but not really hard to work out once you have the app it is very easy to use . The Bluetooth doesn’t work without the app anyway so you need to download the app on your phone to use it remotely. Lights have lots of colours to chooseThe Bag comes with the lights again is very poor quality. It doesn’t have any padding to protect the lights ,looks cheap and I don’t think it will last very long.It’s just a carrying bag . I had to wrap my lights in bubble wrap before putting them in the bag.Neewer has wasted money on cardboard packaging which has a nice foam to protect the lights but if I keep the lights in supplied cardboard boxes. Then lights don’t fit inside the bag and the protective foam goes to waste.They should have made the bag a bit better with padded foam inside and pack everything inside the bag without cardboard for each light and stands . And then for transport they only need one external cardboard box. That way the lights and stands all would have protection and that would be worth. So overall lights are ok, but the stands and bag are not really useful.

I've been able to create a variety of looks at my recording studio using this package plus a big light with a soft box. The lights are bright with full RGB and white. There is no noise from the lights either. My only disappointment is that the iPhone app is a little finicky and doesn't always log on to the lights (usually solved by closing the app fully and restarting). Once in the app, it is easy enough to set the colours from wherever your camera is. I haven't managed to save any of my colour schemes as 'scenes' though - that would be amazing if that ever works properly.
