Super happy with this purchase. The metal feels high-quality and durable, not flimsy like some other brands. Adjusting it to fit the track was effortless, and the rubber ends protect the frame while keeping it securely wedged. A simple, effective fix for sliding door security. 5 stars!

I cannot tell you how many bars I have tried. All I wanted was a bar I could wedge on my sliding glass door at slightly higher than halfway up the door. Anything with an attachment to the frame was useless, double round ends would not wedge securely. This one has a round end that just happens to fit in the narrow channel where to door slides into when open and a wide end that wedges on the door side perfectly. Easy for me to get out without bending, easy to put in, door won't move. Assembled and in the door in 10 minutes, including adjusting for the exact size. Metal, push button adjustments plus large foot adjustments plus pin for once you get the push button adjustment where you want it (pin is a little sloppy, slightly too small for the holes) Would buy again. But probably won't need to.

I use these vertically in my original wood windows that don’t line up and can’t lock. I was able to customize these and adjust to the length needed. Since I have an old house that shifts, I periodically have to go around and check them to make sure they are still in place tight. Sometimes they get loose because the house shifts. A man tried to open one of my windows in the middle of the night. The man was shaking the window to get in, but I felt secure knowing he could not get in because I knew I had the window lock in place and had checked them recently to make sure the window locks were in there tight.

This comes in four parts, one long piece with adjustable holes. A long and a short extension, and an adjustable rubber boot. I was able to assemble this item quickly and adjust it to fit my sliding glass door. I haven't tested it's strength, but it feels very sturdy, and I believe it will secure my door nicely.
