Excellent device, simple to use. Remember to push open the battery compartment to pull out the activation tag first! Very easy to take body temperature - your own or anyone else's - just by pointing it at the forehead and pressing the button. Will adjust to Fahrenheit or Celcius by simple button scroll. I was able to take the temperature of the kitchen door 3 metres away (26.6 degrees Celcius), next door's dog's nose through a hole in the fence (16.9 degrees), the missus' bum through her jeans while hanging out the washing (23.9), my forehead (35.8), the inside of my freezer (Lo) - and there I will stop!If this were to be at the so-called suggested retail you'd find cheaper models elsewhere but of course that's just a sales gimmick - at around the twenty-quid mark it's good value for a quality product.Instructions are simple, the velvet pouch is useful (holds instructions and device), and it's an easy to wipe clean robust plastic. pros...: fast measuring ,non invasive means you can measure wile slipping , pretty accurate , you can measure baby and house temperature as well , comes in a clots pouch , light so a plus when you travel a lot. also battery life very good . Cons ..not the most exact kind of thermometer , they only measure external temperature and this can vary depending on environment so if you take baby temperature on cold place will show a slightly lower reading . If your baby is over two I recommend getting a in ear one but for infants that will not stand still or will sleep during measurement this is the one for you, sometimes this will show a wrong measurement because the thermometer was not close enough but I advice to repeat the measurement abut three times and hold the thermometer on the skin. (only takes a few seconds ) . please note I got this for a full price so this is a onest review , Overall this is a GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY .

As I suffer from a couple of disabilities I have to take Lot's of medication's. Sometimes these meds cause my body to over heat and I need to keep an eye on this. I have used the bog standard thermometers before but had trouble with them. When I saw this thermometer and read the reviews I decided to give it a try. I wish I had seen it before. Very easy to use and worth every penny. I love that you can also use it to be able to see what your room temperature is as well. I would highly recommend this thermometer to anyone who needs to keep a watch on their body temperature for any reason.

Absolutely rubbish

This seems to work fine although I have yet to use it to check a high temperature. It is easy to use and I am sure when I need to use it, it will be accurate as when using it on myself and kids it is reading as normal.

This is an appliance which appears to me to have really been designed for regular/continuous use, not for occasional use, which is what I needed it for - perhaps to check three or four times during an illness once every 18 months to 2 years, or longer.Had this factor been made clear in the publicity, I would have purchased a different, more maintenance-free device.At my age of 85, I have too many devices which require charging/battery changing /checking or constant attention in other ways.

I've put up with having to fiddle about to get the centigrade reading ever since I've had the thermometer but it has now reached the end of its useful life. When switched on the message "lo" appears yet the batteries when tested show they are fully charged., therefore I don't get an accurate temperature reading. I'm going to order a new thermometer but it won't be this one.
