Kasie is hired by Gil as a secretary for his family's ranch. Gil's children love Kasie though she is warned not to get involved with them as they are not her responsibility. Eventually Gil gets that it would be better to trade jobs between Kasie and his children's nanny. Kasie is aware that Gil does not like her. When his daughter is hurt, Gil fires Kasie, then learns the truth. What is the truth? Does Gil rehire Kasie?I enjoyed this story. It is a sweet western billionaire romance. It is also a lot tamer than today's romances. Kasie is an ingenue while Gil is experienced (not that experienced though.) Kasie has gone through a lot of tragedy in her 22 years. Not sure if I would have been able to survive all she did. Gil lost the love of his life. He has to learn to communicate and not to believe what he is immediately told. He also needs to learn to be less judgmental. Kasie is very forgiving. I liked the story. It was a story of its time--2000. The evil woman wanting the man for his wealth and looks while the ingenue wants the best for him. The man is mostly clueless to what is going on around him except for his libido. This story is good. I loved Kasie and the kids as well as Gil's brother. Gil needed a swift kick in the behind which his brother gave him.I like Diana Palmer's works and always look forward to reading her.

Sweet and predictable, but still a lovely romance to distract the reader from everyday routine. Enjoyable characters; I liked it

Shy Kasie Mayfield gets a job as secretary to wealthy ranchers Gil and John Callister. Kasie has met John before and recommends she apply for the job. Thinking she will be interviewed by John, Kasie is surprised when his older brother Gil does the interview and seems to take an instant dislike to her. When she gets the job, she finds out she's doing , included with her work, the work of a beautiful debutante who is more devoted to chasing Gil than doing her fair share of the work. Kasie makes friends with Gil's two motherless daughters, much to Gil's disapproval.Gil is amazed at how innocent Kasie seems to be. kasie and her deeased twin brother Kantor were raised by their aunt, a nun.This is a delightful book even if it is a little dated.

Diane Palmer books are addicting. Love Kassie in this story. Palmer mixture of characters with each book if also a draw. Basically the same storyline but we keep coming back for her great stories.

I love all of Diana Palmer's books...some though are more special then others. Sweet love story! To come back from all that tragedy...

Of course I loved it, after all it is a Diana Palmer book!!! If you read my reviews you know that Palmer is one of my all time favorite authors. Since the beginning of the year I have been rereading her books on my Kindle and I am trying to read them in order they appeared in series! In doing that I found I have missed a few books and this is another of those books. Some of them I have read before when I had them in paperback, but unfortunately I no longer have most of those books! I shared them with other readers and I am in the process of replacing those!

I love anything Ms.Palmer writes.I can honestly say that I love the H and h. The daughters and brother and all the interactions with them, wish there would have been but it was really good.

Can’t beat Diana Palmer for light romance reading.
