This sealer was actually brought to my attention by an article I read on kitchen gadgets. I checked it out on Amazon and after reading the product description I thought this cannot work as well as described in the article and on the Amazon Product Description but it was less than $10.00 so I thought I would give it a shot, knowing I could return it for a full refund. As soon it arrived, I read the instructions and went to my pantry where I had several open chip bags. I followed the instructions and it sealed the bags perfectly first time out. I had a little problem knowing when to move it across the bag, but I learned it was pretty much instantaneously. As soon as you press it in on the device start sliding it across the bag. The actual sliding is a little more challenging but doable. The one thing I hope they improve is the shield between the two sealer edges that must be down for storage. Hopefully they can design it to be automatic instead of manual. This shield prevents the two hot (??) sealer edges from coming in contact (and heating up) during storage.

I'm surprised how handy this is. Instead of chip clips you just out some seals on it. The heat element is fast. Only takes about 15 seconds of holding the heat on the bag to seal it. It doesn’t work. Was super disappointed. Thought at first maybe batteries were duds, and tried replacing them. No dice. Wish this wasn’t being given the high reviews it is.

This product arrived on time and is exactly as pictured. I got it a couple of months ago but waited to write a review until I had a chance to use for a bit. This is easy to use, works well, and is so convenient. I have used it on chip and snack bags as well as on thinner plastic such as what I have posted and it sealed them all. The seal line sometimes gets a little wonky but that's due to user error, however even with a weird line the bag is still sealed. I have not used the razor blade yet because I haven't needed to but I checked it and it's definitely sharp. I also love that this product comes with its own batteries. You don't see that often nowadays. Overall great product and highly recommend.

I was very excited to stumble across this item as my kids are constantly opening what feels like every bag we own and I never have enough chip clips. However, this sealer does not always seem to work. I have tried it on multiple occasions and I can never seem to get it to close a bag fully. It does re seal a little over half the bag but it can never get the edges well. The blade piece I have never used and seems unessesary.

I give this a 2 star rating because if you want to use it you have to take off the battery cover in order to do so and the top part dont stay on it come off really Easily

This little gadget is one of those things that you may not have realized you could really use - until you get the chance.After giving it a shot with whatever I could find in my pantry, I can now confidently attest - it works. While it takes a bit of getting used to and refining your "technique", after a few tries I was sealing every bag that didn't come with its own ziplock closure. Very handy.The magnet backing allows me to keep it close by on the fridge (though, they may do well to consider strengthening it to avoid slippage), so no need to fumble in the drawer or forgetting you have it.
