Get one!
Why did I not know about this tool before? Absolutely brilliant for so many jobs around the garden. More efficient than a trowel for weeding, serrated edge for trimming. I've had it a month or so now, and use it every time I'm in the garden, my go to tool of choice.Only downside is that if you put it down, it's not so visible. They need to make one with a red handle.

Brilliant!
Why have I never heard of this tool before? It's brilliant and so much better than a trowel. It really does dig through impacted soil; I've also managed to dig up some deep rooted weeds, quite easily. I think my ordinary trowel is now redundant.

I have very big hands and it's still OK. Nice weeder and scraper knife.
Hori Hori are all about rooting around in the soil and the cracks of paving. Don't lever firm soil with them, they not that strong in the flex, rather stab and saw, and this sturdy stainless steel in this model will last forever. The quality shows when weeding woody rooted stuff like bramble. Like any bladed tool, your sharpening routine will make the difference long term. The handle is slightly on the small side for me, I have large hands (size 11 builder's gloves are too small for me) it's not a problem at all, if it were I would add something to the handle (thermoplastic maybe). The handle has a big old groove in it which does something to collect grit, soil etc away from the rest of the handle in heavy use / wet weather. The belt holster is cheap and that's fine - for the price of this tool I wasn't expecting much, but it would have been much improved if it had been a simple plastic scabbard and not this cheap fabric holster pouch - don't put your sharpened knife back in the wrong way, you'll cut it up in no time! You will love this tool I think if you weed by hand a lot and like as few tools as possible overall, it's so versatile as a knife, poker, rootler and general little soil dosher.

Sharp !!!!
This blade is so sharp it’s like a dagger. I’m actually too scared to use it as I cut myself just getting it out of the packaging.
