Awesome pillow
I have searched high and low for years to find a pillow that will not hurt my neck, shoulder or make me wake up with a headache because of sleeping in a weird position all night. I have probably spent several hundreds of dollars on pillows trying to find one that will work, only to be disappointed. I've been in two car accidents that gave me whiplash and I eventually developed fibromyalgia, so my neck is a serious issue. The first night on the pillow was a little difficult to get use to, but after that it is wonderful. Sleeping straight, no neck or shoulder pain! It's almost a miracle! I love the indentation for your ear, I never thought of that being an issue for me before. The shape keeps my head straight and supports my neck so I don't wake up with a headache. I would recommend this pillow for anyone who is a side sleeper and has head, neck and shoulder issues.

Not ideal for large men
This appears well made and thoughtfully designed. I'm impressed that they included a depression in the foam to reduce pressure on the ear. Alas, the literature accompanying this said it was for people under a certain weight (ahem) and I chose to ignore that. I felt the foam compressed too easily for me and did not give me the support I needed. My shoulder wound up having a fair amount of pressure on it when it rested on the mattress. But a "more delicate" person will probably find this useful. I considered returning it but the folks who made it clearly tried very hard to make something useful, so I am keeping it. When I get back to High School weight, I'm sure it will be very useful. Any day now. Starting tomorrow.

Pros and Cons For Sure
I am a 100% side sleeper, so this pillow was definitely of interest to me.Pros:* Ear hole - LOVE this! (When I can get it lined up right, which isn't often - read on)* Soft cover (except for the scratchy mesh bits - read on)* Good construction* Good overall designCons:* THICK! I'm an average-sized person, and it's just too darn tall for my comfort. This has led to a stiff and sore neck over time, finding myself off the pillow in the middle of the night, et cetera. If they made a size small, I think that would probably work for me. I'm 5'6" and of average build, with slightly broader-than-average shoulders and it's still too thick for my stature.* Scratchy - Most of the cover is luxuriantly soft; the mesh parts, however, are scratchy as heck! I am sensitive to tactile sensations, so perhaps this won't bother most people, but it makes me crazy. I tried putting a soft pillowcase over it, but that didn't work well because it didn't match the contours. I cannot fathom why anyone would put such a rough fabric on a pillow. It's very distracting, especially as one is trying to fall asleep.* Due to the thickness, the ear hole is really hard for me to get lined up with and impossible to stay on while sleeping, which leads to earphones being dragged out of my ears after I fall asleep.* Mild chemical odor for a week or so - I left mine out in another room until that passed; it was too much to have right up in my face at first.I won't say it's a waste of money for everyone, because a friend of mine has used hers with success for about six months and it's helped her quite a lot. She is much taller and broader than I am, though.

Sleeping so much better
I recently bought this for me wife who is a dedicated side sleeper. She's been having trouble sleeping latley and waking up with a painful knot in her neck.I shopped for a side sleeper pillow for her and found that they were all several hundred dollars. While I don't mind spending necessary money, I do prefer to save more cash, especially in this down economy.I then came across this pillow at a remarkable price. I immediately purchased it and suprised my wife the very next day.The very first night she was thrilled with the results. So, I highly recommend this pillow to anyone. I can assure you that I rarely leave reviews. But I was compelled based upon the quality, performance and value that this product provided.Dont hesitate. Put it in your box!

Mothers day gift
I bought this as a mother's day gift and she loves it! She used to complain about headaches and her arms falling asleep from laying on her side; and now she doesnt have either of those problems! It was a harsh process of breaking it in though, at first the pillow would cause her neck and lower back to be sore, but after using it for a while thats no longer an issue. Only other greviance is that the ear hole doesnt line up with her ear at all, and if she purposefully tries to put her ear in the hole it leaves her in a very uncomfortable position. I think it would be better without the ear hole in general. Overall a purchase I don't regret!

Helps my shoulder too.
I'm a stomach sleeper who had neck surgery. I was told I wouldn't be able to sleep on my stomach during recovery. This pillow kept me from rolling and has convinced me that side sleeping is the way to go! It's incredibly comfortable and bounces back. I like that the height is not too much. So many pillows are too tall. I'm thinking about a second one. I find it helps my shoulder too.

Needs a pillowcase, Rough texture, hot
Shape is confortable and helps my shoulder a bit but it really needs a soft pillowcase. Yes it has a removable washable cover but the covers texture is not soft or comfortable on my head. I tried to add my own pillowcase as someone else suggested but it didn’t fit well. The mesh section is scratchy and if my nails aren’t trimmed they get stuck on it. The pillow also gets hot. Works ok for shorter periods if I put it on top of another pillow and loosely lay my pillowcase on top but I often end up tossing it to the floor and just sleeping on my good arm. I would love it if they sold a soft (or better yet silk) pillowcase that was designed to fit it!Didn’t help my arm that’s sore from a rotator cuff injury as designed but if I put it on top of another pillow with another one to the front of it I can sleep on my right side for a few hours before I get hot and toss it off the bed. Got busy and sadly missed the return window by 5 days
