Wish I had taken heed to the 1* and 2* reviews for this product before buying. It showed a significantly low reading of 4kg~ for a suitcase that my old but useful digital scales showed to be 14kg~. Bought as backup but going to return it a.s.a.p. Wasted my effort and time!

Before I had this nifty device, it has happened that I tried to check in my luggage at the airport, but it was above the 50 lbs weight limit. There is nothing more embarrassing than having to open your luggage in front of the check-in counter and move some of its contents to the carry-on. It seems everyone is watching in amusement! Now I'm using this luggage scale before leaving home (or the hotel) and it gives me the peace of mind that everything is kept within the limit. No more worrying about the 50-lbs scare. I find it easy to use; its small size makes it easy to bring it along.

Love that we can weigh our luggage before leaving home - and also take this with us to weigh in before we return. We often play the suitcase shuffle in our attempt to keep luggage under 50 lbs. Great gadget for frequent travelers!
