My dog (and cat) LOVE this heat mat. Great poem, eh? My miniature dachshund claims this as her own and the cat likes to smack her in the noodle to try and take it over constantly. Anyway, I generally leave it on the highest setting during colder winter days and on the lowest on warmer days. Whenever I can't find one of my animals, I know exactly where to look. I put a soft blanket over the top of it and it's their preferred spot. I need to order another one so they both have a spot, but somehow I think they'd fight anyway. It warms up quickly and doesn't get so hot that you have to worry about hurting your animals. Perfect size and very rugged!

So the pad was between the bed (underneath) and the pillow on top. See photo - they were both scorched and burned. We purchased last winter and just plugged back in last week for cooler weather. I smelled a faint order, but not detect initially. Even the pad is brittle. Double checked the Sale Page with directions for use. States to lay pad flat and the pillow is okay. Photo shows bed, pillow and the pad melted (no longer flexible). Really freaked out about the what if - could have caught on fire . Know why the dog did not want to use! Amazon only refund for the faulty pad - refuse to reimburse even part cost to replace the damaged dog bed. Doesn't appear to have NEC or UL Rating.

I bought this for my outside cat you who won't come in . It was such a nice heating pad I decided to give it to my big girl, my dog. My favorite child . Shhh!!! Yes she's 16 and she really has enjoyed having the pad to sleep on. Keeps her bones warm on these cold Winter nights. Not that it matters as far as the heating goes but the pad is very attractive and well made. If you look at the picture it's quite a nice pad I would definitely buy another one of these. I did go ahead and get the cat a heated house so I didn't leave her out in the cold.

Perfect size for my girls. I put a light fleece blanket over the pad so it is nice and soft and warm. The low setting is pretty warm so be sure to follow the directions and turn it on low for a little bit and check the temp before letting your fur babies use it.

We had this for 2 months before we finally decided to use it. Plugged it in and absolutely nothing. It doesn't even light up or turn on. Complete garbage. Don't bother with it. Just use a human heating pad and that is cheaper and doesn't fail on the first usage.

My cat loves it and it was perfect for winter since she's an outdoor cat. I have a little house for her in the garage and it fits right inside perfectly.

We have pet red eared sliders, and we often let them out to explore the living room. We have a large picture window that they enjoy spending hours looking out of, but when it gets cold outside, the cold air coming off that window makes them miserable.A combination of this little heating pad (on low!) and a sun lamp fixes all of that. Even when it is overcast and cold, our little green buddies are comfortable and happy in their favorite spot.

This pad actually burnt a dog bed when it was on low! The entire pad was itself melting from getting too hot and melted the dog bed as well. Almost started a fire woke up to the smell of something burning.
