If you're looking for a quality, well made vernier, look no further. It's Mitutoyo, so comes from a first class reputable company. Capable of 0.05mm reading on internal, external, and plunge measurements. Not got a digital readout, but you should be able to work out vernier readings with a bit of help from Google. Also means you don't need batteries, so it's environmentally friendly! With proper care, this caliper will last a very long time. Simple and reliable.

A gorgeous and well made Vernier Calipers that works perfectly and feels great. This one is accurate to 1/20th of a millimeter (0.05mm) and is manual. I almost got a cheap digital caliper but decided on this in the end. I'm glad I did...it's a joy to use and very easy to get an exact measurement. If you want a very reasonably priced and well made tool...look no further...if I were to have one small criticism it would be that it doesn't come with a storage box. Highly recommended.

Superb quality and great price.

After wasting money on digital vernier calipers that kept having to be reset to zero after every use, poor accuracy, plus battery drainage, I decided to go for this caliper. Wish I had started with this one then I wouldnt of wasted so much money on the others. It is accurate and STAYS accurate after every use, feels robust and very well made. It is worth every penny more than the digital cheap ones. Only downside as others have stated is there is no solid case for the caliper , hence only four stars. ( but I am ok as I have three cases from the digital ones).

For someone who adores things that are beautifully made, this is the one- shiny, clear markings, smooth action, jaws touch with total precision. The traditional vernier scale takes me back to metalwork lessons at school, and unlike devices with a digital display, you don't find after not using it for a bit that the battery has run down- it has no battery.

Excellent product. Top of the line quality. Recommend. Vernier range is 0.05mm. Only niggle is this key specification isn't listed up front in the description.

Good, precise tool. The only thing is that the movements are perhaps not perfectly smooth, but it still allows for precise measurements.

I didn't realize how much I was missing calipers in my life before purchasing this tool. Since I've gotten them, I have measured more things with them than my handy-dandy tape measure. They're a lot quicker to use than a ruler for small things and there's less fiddling when you don't need to line up angles. You just take your measurement (inside diameter, outside diameter, and depth) then read off the results. You need to learn how to use the Vernier scale, but it's pretty simple once you get it (the 0 marker gives you your reading to the closest millimeter/16th of an inch, then the Vernier scale the will line up at the next digit. For example, 2.5mm would have the 0 halfway past the 2mm mark, and the "5" on the scale will line up perfectly with a line on the ruler (1-4 will be before the next line, 6-9 will be after). These are well made, nice little case (albeit cheap and thin), and super accurate.
