This is an outstanding packable backpack! There are 2 quick access pockets, room for a 13 inch MacBook Air, and it is comfortable to carry! Just as good as more expensive options. The zippers are great! It is very lightweight. I like the color (spruce green) and the way it looks on my back. I am actually using it for work.

I purchased this as a travel back pack to replace an old Amazon version, which they no longer carry. Its costs about double the old Amazon pack, but is a bit larger and a bit more comfortable. It is very light weight thin, so it takes very little space in a suitcase. I've carried all kinds of loads in it, including computers, a weekend of clothing, and groceries. It does all this very well, while looking dressy enough for short business trips and touristing in places where folks are not all dressed in shorts and t shirts. I expect it to be as durable or more than my old Amazon pack, which was surprisingly so, lasting hundreds of similar uses.

Bought this backpack for a recent trip to Alaska. Absolutely love it. Perfect size for personal item on flight, taking on tours, biking, and walking around town. Had plenty of room for my packable rain coat, binoculars, gloves, extra shirt, water bottle, and miscellaneous other items. The inside sleeve worked great for my ipad and travel documents. The outside zipped pockets were good for items I needed to get to quickly without digging through the main compartment. Also, the price was good. For some reason two colors had a coupon when I ordered, so I got black cherry for less than $25. I really like the color. It looks red in the listing, but it is actually a really nice black cherry shade. It is also water resistant, but does get wet in ongoing rain. I put my items in a plastic bag in the backpack when rain was expected and my stuff stayed dry. It didn’t seem to wet through to the inside, but it never poured when I used it. Very comfortable to wear. Quality is good and zippers work well. It is a packable if you want to put it in your luggage or for storage. Definitely recommend!

This packable backpack is the ideal size to complement “minimalist packing” for travel. We only do carryon and frequently are constrained to 7Kilos (15.4 lbs) for carryon. This small backpack becomes our “personal item” and allows us to slip in the small items we need on the plane, and also keep our carryon to limit of 7Kilos. It is water resistant, lightweight and stuffs into itself. Zippers and compartments are logical and easy to get to. The side pocket has a water bottle sleeve and loops to attach things. I would buy again.

I got this for a trip to Malaysia and love it! The 30L capacity is roomy yet it didn’t take up much space in my suitcase. It easily fit overnight essentials for a part of the trip when we couldn’t take luggage. It has the high quality and comfort you’d expect from Eddie Bauer. Highly recommend!! The care instructions say “do not wash” but I was nasty sweaty in the rainforest and thought I’d risk it. It washed beautifully in warm water on the delicate cycle (my machine does not have an agitator).

I slipped my small crossbody purse into this backpack and used it as my personal item on the plane and as my bag for day trips and an overnight stay. Plenty of room inside but that top pocket, the most accessible, is impossible to use due to that crazy strap loop that kept getting caught in the zipper. Finaly, the straps need better grip. They kept sliding off my shoulders.

We both have these now for our travels. They are well made, comfortable, attractive and light weight. Empty, they take up very little room, great for travel. In running through large airports, it is far more comfortable and secure to have these. I like to have both hands free. They fit under the seats of aircraft well. When ashore, they make it easier to go shopping. Love these!
