The Echo Pop is a surprisingly powerful mini speaker for its size. The sound quality is crisp and fills a small room easily - perfect for a bedroom, office, or kitchen. Alexa responds quickly, and setup took less than five minutes using the Alexa app. I really like the compact design - it looks modern and doesn't take up much space. It's ideal if you want smart features like voice control, timers, or music without spending much. Pros: Clear sound and good volume for size Compact, space-saving design Easy setup Affordable entry into the Alexa ecosystem Cons: Bass isn't as strong as the Echo Dot or larger Echo Power cable is a bit short Overall, the Echo Pop is a great value if you want a simple, stylish smart speaker that does all the basics really well.

I have been using Alexa smart speakers in my home for several years and decided to check out this new Echo Pop for the study. This model has an unusual shape (like a sphere with the front cut off at an angle), neatly placed buttons if you need them, and with a speaker that is just a little larger than the spherical Dot. Next day delivery, open the box, plug in - in just a few minutes this smart speaker was completely up and running, accepting commands, doing everything I wanted. It isn't as aesthetically pleasing as the spherical Alexa's but it is still nice and is small enough to sit most anywhere. I used the Alexa app to increase the bass by one point and reduce the treble by one point (which is all I've ever had to do with my Alexa smart speakers) and I was satisfied with the sound of both music (all genres I listen to) and voice. For use in the study, I will never have the volume above the minimum and on this Echo Pop that is more than enough for the small room. There were no issues with setting up, sound quality is decent enough for such a tiny unit but, obviously, will never be hi-fi quality. On low volumes though, it is plenty good enough. In fact, I felt the larger speaker in this Pop model gave a richer quality sound than that from my Dot. All in all, very satisfied and glad I bought it. Obviously another 5 star rating for an Alexa product and if you are looking for an inexpensive, small-sized smart speaker, you won't go wrong with this one (available in several colours also).

Id been thinking about getting one for quite a while, so my daughter got me one for Christmas. I loved it so much, I bought another one, so I now have one in the living room and one in my bedroom (I live in a 1 bedroom flat). This now enables me to have whatever I am listening to, seamlessly playing all around my home. I have also bought 1 each for my grandchildren. What I like is I can listen to podcasts, ask alexa questions, set reminders, timers, I can send voice messages to other alexa devices. I just find this device so useful and the sound quality, I am no expert but in my opinion, is excellent. The pop does the same as all other alexa devices, it's just small. The pop being small, stating the obvious, is discreet and ideal for a place where space is at a premium. There is a limited choice in colours, I have the lilac and the blue, I just think they look nice. Now as an older lady, with disabilities, these pop devices are so much more than an entertainment but also a means of calling for help. I can ask alexa to phone my daughter/son-in-law or call the emergency services. And the wonderful thing is, you don't need to be technically minded or dexterous to use it, you just say "Alexa......." I know there are concerns about these devices listening in and recording, you can go into settings and change permissions, the flaw in that is, yes you need to know a bit as to what you're looking at. I've left mine pretty much as is. There are some great videos on YouTube that can help you with settings if your that bothered. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives and I highly recommend these lovely little devices, Alexa is a very welcome addition to my household

We got this when it was on offer for £22.99 so I'd keep an eye out for the various times it goes on sale rather than paying the full price. Colour is great as it matches the aesthetic of our kitchen. It has replaced an original echo that finally gave up the ghost and the sound quality is much better although I'd say its on par with with recent echo dots. It was easy to set up and there was no faffing around with the automations we already had with smart bulbs etc, It just continued where the other had left off. Control buttons on the top are subtle, whilst I'm getting used to it I have to double check which one I'm pressing as they are not as clear as the aforementioned echo dots. This is a little form over function but it is not enough to detract from the overall quality of build and sound. The Alexa functionality is good and voice commands for various music stations etc is nice and intuitive. My main grip comes with Alexa now constantly trying to upsell Amazon products. Half the time when you ask for specific music, rather than playing the available tracks that come with prime music , Alexa will launch into a monologue about upgrading to unlimited that lets you play the same music but for another subscription cost. She then announces that she is shuffling the requested music but doesn't play it so you inevitably have to ask her again. I don't have children but I imagine this is the same frustration you get from asking a teenager to do something. Perhaps I'm missing a simple solution but I'm not aware of it but that I feel speaks more for its ease of use than my technical knowhow considering I'm still in my thirties, just.

Bought this for my 10 year old son as he wants his own Alexa as he loves to talk to Alexa and ask questions. He also likes his music, so he can enjoy his own music in his bedroom. It arrived nicely packaged, all new in the box however I can’t test it out as it’s my son’s Christmas present but I just know he will love this! Blue is his favourite colour and it looks like a really nice shade of blue too, to go well in his blue painted bedroom 😊 I was tempted to buy myself one of these especially as they only cost £21.99!!!! Which is a right bargain especially assuming they are usually £44.99. I cannot wait to see my son receive this gift at Christmas. Thank you Amazon! UPDATE: Couldn’t resist the price of this Alexa device so bought one for myself after purchasing one for my son. I got the purple one and my son has the blue. I am very happy with this Alexa device it’s very loud and punchy for such a small speaker. It was easy to set up and I am very happy with this item overall. I use mine for Apple Music and my ring doorbell notifications. Thank you.

These are great with good sound quality and are easy to use with voice commands. I like the way that they already arrive synched to your account so pretty much plug them in and away you go. I do still have some challenges with allocating them to rooms in the Alexa app and we have multiple across the house with fire sticks and an Eero mesh. These are a very cheap and convenient way to extend your Eero mesh so it's one of the reasons we have a number of these spread around to boost wifi range.

Works really well with clear sound. Picks up your voice easily as with most "Alexa" products. Worth buying.
