Excellent choice

Birthday present for my wife. She loves crosswords and quizwords, and understanding the meaning and origin of words

I liked the previous one for solving crosswords but it wore out this year. This one is more up-to-date and CHEAPER, (with free delivery..) Thanks Amazon, Peter

Excellent reference book. Great help with crosswords. However very large and heavy. For most occasions the concise version is perfectly adequate.

Wonderful thesaurus. Encourages browsing as well as referencing individual words.the entries are Lear and detailed and provide a marvellous progress through the English language.

As thesauruses go the Oxford thesaurus along with the Oxford dictionary our the final authority on the English language. Be warned this is a very large book.

I reckon it's an excellent thesaurus of English. It has so many synonyms and it's very helpful if you need to write in English. The paper it is printed on is very good, it's an A4 paper-print format and is heavy so that you wanna prefer using it at home. On the whole an excellent thesaurus dictionary.

Wonderful book. Anyone who likes English language should keep a copy of this book. Very exhaustive collection of synonyms--you will not find such collection in any other thesaurus. The paper is thick and printing quality is excellent. I just wish the font size could have been bigger, but I guess, the use of small fonts in dictionaries has become a tradition. Definitely buy this book if you are interested. Any price is not high enough for it. It will really boost your vocabulary. I have already fallen in love with this book. Thank you Oxford.

Exactly what I needed and has wound up being far more useful than I expected. Great addition to the library.

De los de toda la vida, es un diccionario grande de tapa dura muy completo, ideal como referencia y sinónimos para los estudiantes de inglés. De los que te duran para toda la vida. No está hecho para llevar al cole en la mochila en absoluto. Es para tener en casa para consultar.
