These liftgate struts are made so well and only took moments to install. My 2015 Tahoe liftgate stopped working, I took it to the dealer and was quoted $1200 to fix it, so of course I lived with it opening and closing manually for a couple months. My husband found these and installed them a couple days ago and Bam now it works just like new for a fraction of the cost! Compatibility with my truck was not an issue at all! they are perfect! So happy he searched these out! Stop paying a dealer those ridiculous prices!

A must have for lift gate replacement on Tahoe’s. The local dealership wanted to charge us $680 to replace the lift gate supports in our 2017 Tahoe. I bought these and watched a 10min YouTube video and replaced mine in 15mins. I would encourage you get a set of interior trim removal tools to access the wiring on the tail gate. This saved us a ton of money and they worked like new.

Easy to install, once I found install instructions on YouTube. The door does slam slightly harder than the original struts. The door would previously ease shut and latch. Now it does not. Im not sure if there is a way. To fix that.

Don't hesitate like me and wait 5 months. I was headed to the dealership but something told me just try these. I pulled the trigger. They came the next day. Packaging was impecable, 20 min install. Plugged in hit my remote an magic happened... Save your self some money and buy them. Now, are they tad slower yes but only about 5 sec or so. I will take that 5 secs all day over the dealerships arm and leg prices.
