Caffè Borbone Variety Pack Aluminum Capsules Compatible with Nespresso Original Machines, Medium Roast, 100 Count

I’ve tried several brands of coffee pods trying to find one that lived up to the great expectations I had when I bought a Nespresso machine but also not go broke buying coffee pods. This is the BEST pod so far. Rich smooth coffee that tastes (shocker) like real coffee… not an instant coffee rehash of some kind. It even smells like fresh brewed when it is dripping into the cup. Even MORE shocking… I can make a tasty full bodied cup with ONE pod!!… instead of two pods as with some other brands that taste watery and weak. I was amazed by the difference between this coffee and the brands I had been drinking. Order it. It is the real deal.

Capsules are shaped different from original capsules. This killed my battle tested Essenza with the first capsule. It appears like the resistance of the pod is way too high; first some water leaked while brewing, then the pump gave in right after brewing. I'm left with 99 capsules and a dead machine. BEWARE!EDIT: I also own a Citiz machine, and the capsules appear to work there, albeit the flow being lower than in original Nespresso capsules. The aluminum membrane in these capsules is thicker, so some machines cannot cut the membrane properly, which leads to increased resistance and slower flow. In my smaller machine, it blew up the compressor.Always make sure that the membrane is perforated appropriately before brewing to prevent damage to your machine.The coffee taste and quality are outstanding if you can get these capsules to work. Best replacement I have found foe Nespresso's "Il Caffe" which is no longer offered for original line machines.

Had this coffee while in Italy this past summer. Brought home as many pods as I could fit in my suitcase. Then when home I looked online to see if I could get it here but it wasn’t being imported. I kept looking and finally found it on Amazon so I bought a bunch of it. So happy to know I can now get it cuz it is without a doubt the best original pod coffee out there. They have multiple intensities. It blows away anything Nespresso has at a much better price. Works great in Nespresso machine. Go buy some !
