DIY Small Wind Turbine Generator Kit and Light Strip for Yard Backyard Decoration，35 Inch Height, 18 Inch Diameter

Bought as a gift for my dad who really enjoyed putting it together and getting it running the string lights within his shed. The turbine itself is solidly built, the only problem has been fitting it strongly enough to the shed so it doesn't get blown off in the stronger winds!

Bought as a bit of fun for the kids area of the garden. Mounted temporarily on a wooden batton but has been there for about a year. We are in quite a windy area so the lights come on quite a bit. Next thing is to add a battery and control unit so the lights stay on consistently!

Absolutely brilliant we own a donkey sanctuary and recently took a dead tree out and left the trunk about 20 feet long I’ve put it on the top it works great the kids who visit keep looking at it and when it’s dark I lights up perfect. If I could afford to buy loads more of them I would not hesitate.

Was always intrigued by wind generators as a child ' had a £500.00 one on a fishing boat ' wish I had the chance to have understood how to make one myself 'this clearly is one of the best presents to let your kids understand what is possible with simple materials at hand once they have assembled this great piece of fun for all to enjoy 😉

These are ace, love these! Would like a version without the lights and the controller to be able to modify which may lower the price but still think these a great.

This is great fun! Easy to assemble and fun to look at. I extended the cable by twenty metres and have the lights twisted around a nearby tree.

Fun project for kids

My 17-yr old and I really enjoyed putting this together. The package contains more than we expected. Ours included a test bulb (not just the string lights) and a temporary PVC mount that was sturdy enough to stand up the windmill and blow a Dewalt shop fan on it for a successful test. Easy to assemble. Great instructions, perfect fit, even a spare nut, bolt, and blade. Bonus screwdriver and wrench included in ours. And it works!

Well equipped kit arrived in good order & assembly was straightforward w/ good instructions & even included tools. Quality seems good for the price. Mounted on a 6 ft high plant trellis w/ the included mounting bracket. Ran the included low voltage LED light string along a fence line. Specs say it will operate the LED light w/ a 2m/sec breeze (4.5 mph) but in a 10-12 mph breeze it would barely generate 2 volts. Double checked all wiring and connections, they were ok. Had to be really quite windy to generate enough voltage to light up the LED strip lights and then only momentarily in a strong wind gust. Both the LED light string and included LED test bulb lit up brightly when I plugged it in to a 5v cell phone charger f/ a wall socket. Disassembled & returned the item.

This is a great little wind turbine. We installed it in our backyard and attached the lights to our shed and it worked wonderfully. Unfortunately we received some high winds around 70 m.p.h. one day and it came off of the pole we had it attached to and hit the ground hard, breaking two of the blades. I sent a note to the seller asking if I could purchase some blades and they sent me a complete set for free. Very nice people to work with. I would purchase this again.

The LED light set quit working almost immediately after receiving. Everything else seems good. Tried to contact the seller and no reply.
