OUTSTANDING SUCTION AND BATTERY POWER!
I bought my first Dyson DC16 over 15 years ago and still use it to this day! In the early days, their cordless vacs were functionally great but lacked decent battery runtime. Recently, I decided it was time to pull the trigger on a new cordless vac but couldn't bring myself to spend the money for a Dyson. I went with the BuTure 450W 33KPA unit to save some money. It was a great little unit but seemed lacking in the power and battery life department. I finally decided to cough up the cash for a Dyson. This gave me a unique insight into the pros and cons of going cheap vs going Dyson. Here's the breakdown: Dyson V11 Pros: 1. Outstanding suction power and brush head performance 2. Excellent battery life 3. Great build quality 4. Easy charging setup integrated into wall mount Dyson V11 Cons: 1. Trigger pull operation can be tiring and uncomfortable 2. Expensive 3. No front facing light on brush head Buture Pros: 1. Much cheaper than Dyson 2. No need to hold a trigger down for operation 3. Nice bright headlight on brush head Buture Cons: 1. Suction is good but not great 2. Battery life is decent but tapers off quickly reducing power 3. Build quality is not as solid, brush head sort of flops around 4. Charging is less convenient, as you have to manually plug it in to charge Bottom line: The Dyson V11 is amazing! The suction is incredible, rivaling some plugin models. The Brush head is aggressive and great at pulling pet hair off carpet. The trigger pull operation can be uncomfortable after a while, ironically highlighted by the extremely long battery life. I only wish Dyson would have put a forward-facing light on the brush head. Buture and others like it are great alternatives if you can’t spend the money for the Dyson, but they don’t quite measure up in performance and quality. In some cases though, they do have better features like no trigger hold and cool headlights. Overall, the Dyson is the clear winner for functionality and quality. If you can part with the extra cash, definitely go with the Dyson.

This vacuum SUCKS! in the best possible way
My Dyson stick vac died. Well I probably murdered it, I have huskies and after 10 years of service it could take no more. So I needed a new vacuum. I tried 4 other brands before going back to Dyson. The only vacuum that came even close to the suction of this on was a shark but the high pitched ululation of the motor was enough to make my ears bleed so back it went. This little vacuum is flat out amazing. Dyson’s build quality is top notch and the placement of the on switch make sense unlike som others where the on switch is on the back or top. I also appreciate that it only stays on while depressing the trigger so you are only running the motor when you need it instead of needlessly wasting the battery life. Speaking of which, the battery will run around 45 min on medium power, and 15-20 on high. Since this is a stick vac meant for spot cleaning and dust bunnies (or in my case, tumbleweeds of dog fur) I am perfectly content with 15 minutes of battery life. I’ll grab my big vac if I need to cover more area. The dust cup is a decent size and is easy to empty. The filters are easy to get to and to clean. The wall bracket is convenient for storage of the vacuum and two of your most used tools. It’s not horribly loud even on high and wow the suction on this thing is amazing. If my last Dyson was any indicator, this vac should last me a good long time. In this day of planned obsolescence that’s so hard to find. TLDR: expensive but worth it.

Expensive but worth every dollar.
THIS IS AN AMAZING TOOL ! We have 2 cats. A few years ago we bought a large beautiful. Area rug with merging fall colors. It had be come dull over the years. And. Grey looking. We used the cat and long hair adapter on it with this Dyson. THE CARPET IS NOW BRILLIANT AND LOOKS NEW . I don't normally write reviews but this machine IS IMPRESSIVE.

Well, it just sucks
Ok, it has excellent suction. But that is all. I truly thought with a brand that prides itself on engineering this thing would have been thoughtfully designed but it isn't. If the company had spent half as much time on the dynamics of the body of the vacuum as they did on the stupendous computer screen at the top of the battery it might be a gem. I'm 5 foot 1 inches tall. The stick is unadjustable and painful for short people. You have to pull the vacuum further back and it twists my shoulder and causes pain in the back. The top portion of the handle is HORRIBLE for anyone. You must constantly depress the button while vacuuming. The handle forces you to hold the vacuum in the same position the entire time you vacuum and the top part is extremely heavy, so it hurts the hand and lower arm. I would not recommend for anyone with arthritis or carpel tunnel (let alone.someone with non-issue). The heavy battery kinda rests on the forearm as it is above the stupid trigger handle, causing discomfort as well as sending a minor vibration through the arm that sensitive people will feel. I am susceptible to vertigo and this vibration makes me feel lightheaded while I vacuum. The most stupendous part.... It doesnt stand up on its own. So if you need to stop vacuuming to move an item, you must carefully lay it down (dont even think of leaning it up against something, the top is so heavy it will just fall over) Same with cleaning, once you detach the top from the bottom to empty it, the stick just falls over. ....also emptying is a mess. The stuff doesnt come all the way out easily so I always have to use my hand to go inside and dig dirt balls off the filter. Further the button to detach the stick from the dirt bin for cleaning is poorly designed and does not work well. No headlight. Horrible design. I feel taken for over $500. Decieved. Not the engineering I was expecting. Much preferred my silly cheap Fabuletta stick. Will not purchase Dyson products in the future as I feel the price for the product was almost scammed, thats how awedul this vacuum is. Half of a grand.....I alos will have a hard time reselling this thing because no one will want it with such a crappy release button that doesnt work half the time. Save your money and try a different brand. The only reason i didnt return it is because its impossible to repackage after you open it. Plus I kept trying to like it but finally have come to the conclusion that this vacuum, well, it just sucks.

A few drawbacks, but overall a good vacuum
I've just had this a week and it suctions well and is lightweight. Also, very maneuverable. So, it works well as a vacuum cleaner on both carpeted and hard surfaces (use the "MED" setting). The battery stayed charged for a whole hour or more. It's very convenient for vacuuming and I don't want to return it, but it has some surprising drawbacks due to poor planning in my opinion. Here are the drawbacks. 1. There is NO on/off switch. As long as the battery is attached, if you barely touch the trigger the motor turns on, and it's extremely easy to touch the trigger without meaning to. So you must learn to be careful when holding it or carrying it. 2. This device is packaged with a LOT of cardboard boxes folded into various shapes to hold the components. I mean, there must have been ten or fifteen of these, which I flattened so I could recycle them. You have to see it to believe it. It's environmentally friendly, but very cumbersome to unpackage and dispose of all that cardboard. 3. You get a single sheet with a diagram that explains how to assemble it, but there are very few words and the diagrams are not detailed enough in some cases. You can download an online instruction manual, which is a lot more wordy, but it still doesn't explain everything. I found one item in the box that looks like a plastic tab and I cannot find any explanation of its function or where it goes. I just hope I don't ever need it. 4. You get a mounting plate for mounting the vacuum, but I don't know why it's in two parts that snap together with a hinge. I don't know the purpose of the hinge and it makes the mount more fragile so it could break from the weight. The screws they supply for mounting it are about two inches long, which is much much longer than necessary and I had to use two of my own shorter one inch screws to keep them from poking out the back of a wall panel. Also, why does the mounting plate fold? 5. In order to hang up the vacuum using the mounting plate, the battery must be installed. So you can't charge the battery while the vacuum is mounted, unless you have a very nearby outlet and you can't store the battery separately if you want to mount the vacuum. 6. The vacuum cleaner will not stand up on its own. There's no way to let go of it without it falling. You must lay it down or lean it against a corner where it is constrained. While vacuuming the house there are many times you want to pause and leave the vacuum in the current spot, but you must lay it down or find a corner. I don't know if other cordless vacuums have this problem, but I sure wish it could be stood up in an upright position.

Wish I would of invested in this thing sooner!
Wish I would have bought this years ago. Couldn’t see me spending this much on a vacuum when we have one that’s perfectly fine. We also have a robot vacuum, but I use this daily and it’s quick and easy to use. Grab it off the charger and vacuum up whatever mess is left behind from 2 small kids and dog. Honestly I use this more than my shark 2/1 mop vacuum combo. Maybe it’s my adhd where I can’t sit still but it was totally worth the investment. Also the first week we had it both of my 10 and 8 year olds were fighting to see who vacuums. Since then it’s not as cool but they can use it with ease. That’s a plus for parents who are giving chores to kids. It is light enough my 8 year old can easily carry it and vacuum the steps.

A great vacuum for my apartment. Plenty of battery life
I’m very happy with the lightweight handling, that I can easily clean under my couch and bed, and easy to empty.

Lives up to the hype
Have a German Shepard that sheds enough hair you'd think I have 10 dogs so when the dyson arrived I vacuumed with the old vacuum while it was charging which picked up alot, went over everything again with the dyson and had to empty the canister 6+ times packed with hair and lots of fine dust and that was just on med setting. Going cordless made cleaning a large sectional with the hair screw attachment a breeze. So far quite impressed with its functionality, ease of movement, quick attachment swaps, battery life is great on eco, med is 30-40 mins more than enough to get threw 4 rooms, boost mode will prob be used for the spring dog shed more than anything. Cleaning our cars will be much simpler with this lil powerhouse

Potente, eficiente, peso considerable

Incredible vacuum
Honestly it’s embarrassing to vacuum your “clean” house with this vacuum only to discover it wasn’t clean at all! This vacuum is incredible and lives up to all the hype. No hair tangling in the blade, quick and easy dumping of the canister (hint:if everything doesn’t fall out of the canister on the first swipe just close and open it again and the rest will fall out). I wish I’d bought this vacuum before spending a lot of money on a Miele only to discover they are very overrated. This Dyson with no cord, great battery life, ease of use and emptying, no bags, and incredible suction is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned by a landslide. Zero buyers remorse
